Hello Everyone,
Lately I've been on the look-out for something to bling up my plain gold wedding band, and given my miniscule budget I sailed the wild seas of eBay in search of treasure. Guess what showed up recently in just my size? An elegantly tiny vintage solitaire.
Perfect for adding a touch of elegance to my golden days. Dainty enough not to cause a ruckus (anything 1/2 ct and up is HUGE in my area)
My best guess at stats:
0.23ct MRB (tcw engraved on the band)
about 3.8-4mm diameter
eye-clean si2
FGH ish
size 4 14kt yg cathedral setting (2.4g) with tall Pt? peg-head and double nubbin prongs.
Maybe from the 1980's? or earlier?
The stone seems quite bright and lively in most lighting environments and has a surprising amount of presence for one so small.
Not a bad fun ring for a sub $200 budget.
Does anyone recognize the maker's mark? it looks a bit like a script "L", or maybe a fan?
Thanks for looking!
Cue shameless pictorial overload:
