I bought the HW ring on Ebay a few months ago. It was from an individual.. not a large volume reseller because they don't have anything listed recently.
I LOVELOVELOVE Ebay for used signed pieces!!! In fact I just bought a Cartier wide yellow gold Panthere band from reseller/pawn shop in Florida. It just arrived yesterday and as soon as I take really terrific pics I am going to make a thread about it.

WOW! That's very close to what I'm looking for! Have to see more photos and will search for posts. Just amazing and right up my ally. I have a feeling we have similar taste!!!

Can I ask a question about ebay-- other than selling my own things, I've never bought anything over 10K on ebay. How do you pay for big ticket items like a piece of high end jewelry? Do you have any concerns? Any insight would help. I've got my eye on one ring, but I'm nervous about taking the plunge.

I just posted pics of my ring on your other thread.. Yes!! We do have very similar tastes for sure.
As far as Ebay I have bought expensive pieces in the past.. it's always a gamble but I try to minimize the risks by sticking to a few "rules." I only buy from people who have good feedback and hopefully a return policy. I only buy signed pieces that I feel 100% confident that the hallmarks are correct on. I don't usually buy pieces that have a single large stone that can be switched. Mostly I buy pave pieces because I can be pretty confident that they have their original stones. I always chat up a seller.. if they don't seem nice or don't get back to me I won't buy from them. You can get a feeling for somebody through their emails.. whether they seem on the up and up or not.
I guess it's always a risk buying on Ebay but I feel I take as many precautions as I can.
I'm happy to look at the listing or the seller you are interested in and let you know what I think.. just an opinion of course.

I'd prefer your emerald cut over the real future Mrs. Clooney's any day of the week. There's something about the shade of yellow in her diamond that just doesn't do it for me. Amey's five plus carat pear affectionately named "Lemony", now that was a crisp, clean yellow diamond. Yours is nicer (and bigger, LOL!) and what a score you made finding a HW baguette band on eBay. Only HW could set perfectly cut baguettes flawlessly. Yours is a drop dead gorgeous set!

Clooney's ring is not yellow it is a white diamond. Some early pics show it in low light and it looks yellow.
