Want to know what all of the "experts" thoughts are on table size of a round brilliant diamond? Do you prefer a large or smaller table size and why? If you could pick the table size, what would it be? Happy holdidays!!

a smaller table makes for bigger crown facets (kite, bezel, and star - I think that's right, I didn't look it up) but there is something to be said for being able to look into the stone. I tend to lean toward smaller tables for overall performance but I've seen a few with very large tables that I couldn't take my eyes off of... that had a unique beauty of their own worthy of falling in love with but not necessarily "top performers". This one I saw looked like a harp hitting the notes of a melody.... it was mesmerizing but I seriously doubt it would have competed under an idealscope. But... beauty is in the eye of the beholder and sometimes it doesn't require "ideal".

ETA - the crown on my stone in my avatar is 53%.
