Just started a custom cut with Victor Canera!!

Since you're open to setting ideas... How do you feel about the Jocelyn for rounds? I think it's absolutely brilliant and with my tiny fingers (4.5) I think I prefer a solitaire for my eventual 2+ct. S.O. likes the cushiony Emilya for a round, so I think I'll let him choose in the end, but I really love that Jocelyn! Victor has a video of it in rose gold (my preferred metal) with a 4.3 round on his instagram account if you want to see it in action.

You will hopefully wear this for the rest of your life! YOU choose which setting you like the most and tell him!

You're so right, DS! I think I feel a little guilty being so involved in the ring-making process... :/ But your comment has helped me realize that yes, I do FIRMLY want a solitaire. But I'm so exasperated with myself for now not being able to choose between rose gold or plat that I think I may leave THAT decision up to SO - I want to be surprised in SOME fashion ( ), and I'm starting to think that the reason I can't choose between these two metals is that I really would love either.

We're getting closer! Victor contacted me earlier this week and said that the stone is in the final polishing phases. He hopes to have it in his office next Friday. He will ship directly to AGS from there. He did apologize for the delay. He said sawing the stone took much longer than he thought.

I really do hope he sends a picture!! I wish I could have seen pictures of it as it went through production. That would have been cool. But it sounds like they really didn't need any more on their plate right now.

Hi Poshmommy! Any updates? It's been 3 weeks since we heard there was some movement.

No! Still nothing. Last I heard the polishing was nearly done, they were going to do an ASET and check the angles to see if everything was perfect. Hopefully I'll hear something this week! My husband said this would be my Christmas present..had no idea back in August that he would be so right!!
