Oh I love this! I have no tips for how to turn it into a pendant but I bet the pin can be unattached and the shaved down. Then just add perhaps to loops on the back so it will stay straight and hang correctly.

COOL!!! That is a really neat find - and what a gorgeous pendant that would make!! No ideas - could you contact one of the PS vendors and run it by them? or is it something a good local B&M could do for you?

It would be perfect to keep it as a pin AND pendant - then you have the best of both worlds!

It's basically a metal tube that slips onto the pin and has a bail attached.

I would recommend having it custom made to fit the exact size of the pin backing so it doesn't slip around and become crooked on a chain or you can buy one already made and have rubber stoppers on each side to make it fit better.
