...my DH had laparscopic gall bladder surgery 4 days ago and he was told no jewelry, watch, etc. It''s a liabiity issue for the hospital in case something goes missing (or someone tries to claim that something did). Also, laparascopic surgery is the way to go. He felt fine a few hours after surgery. His only real restrictions are no lifting of 10lbs or more for two weeks and no driving for a few days. In fact, he feels so good he''s getting ready to go use the snow blower on the approx 10 inches of snow we got.
HAHA, restrain him? I tried. He was only tired the first two days, but not too much. Anesthesia hardly bothers him at all. Of course, he saw the Dr today and she told him he''s doing great and can start running again tomorrow so my telling him not to do things holds no water at all. This Dr does over 200 of these surgeries every year. His incisions are healing well. Ame should have a quick recovery if she had laparoscopy.Date: 2/12/2006 2:03:26 PM

I am glad he is doing so well, but try to restrain him!!!! A snow blower 4 days post-op? The anesthesia has probably still not worn completely off! Isn''t he tired?
