was it because the King is patron of the UK RSPCA ?
our local SPCA is by no means perfect but they are trying their best with what they have
i have a very dim view of activists who take it out on works of art just to get publicity

many people dont like this painting, my first thought was about the painting of Churchill that he hated
but The King is a real patron of the arts and i dont think he would ever want art destroyed
