I would try to get the deposit back too. She has come with with two less than stellar diamonds and will probably continue to do so. If she won’t refund it and it is too much to lose, you will have to be specific about what you want in terms of carat weight, color, and clarity. You don’t want bow tie, knots, naturals or fluorescence (unless you want fluorescence.) Did you give her a budget for the diamond? Is it realistic or is she trying to work within a certain figure for a certain carat weight that is too light? That might explain why she is coming up with these diamonds but I certainly wouldn’t be paying top dollar for them. Have you looked around at say James Allen or Blue Nile at pricing?
Yes, I have looked at Blue Nile and James Allen. I think my budget may be the issue. Everything I’m finding on those websites have inclusions that seem unacceptable.

I looked around too and didnt find much in your budget/specs. You are backed into a corner unless you can get your
deposit back (or up your budget). The problem is that she has provided a setting that holds a 2-carat stone so it's hard to
go too much smaller because it wont fit in the setting then.
Let me check one more place.
Edit...no luck. Anything in 2 carat range within close budget is SI2.
Brian Gavin Diamonds has a 2.0 H, SI1 but I can’t seem to link it here. 18,216 wire price but will get $200 off first purchase. That doesn’t include a setting but you could get a simple solitaire one for not a lot of money. Go to their website and see if you can find it. Great example of a well cut oval. I know it is more than your budget but wanted you to get some idea of something you could get in the two carat range.
Thank you!
Thank you!
No, it was not a virtual selection diamond.
Here it is!
