Not sure if anyone has posted about this yet:

The knot boards on theknot.com have a board called "Not Engaged (yet)". I think it is fairly new. I''ve read a few of the discussions. It seems like it is mostly b2b''s and married girls bickering back and forth. What a waste! I hope some of the pre-engagement girls find their way to more helpful forums.

I checked this out from your post- it is just plain AWFUL! Really, women just being a horrible stereotype: unsupportive, mean, and down-right bitchy. Thank goodness we have this environment of support here! I too wish we could point them in this direction, but I''d worry the hateful posters would follow.

It was funny you posted this. I got on the knot this weekend, and started a bio page (no i''m not engaged, but it was fun saving things i want) I was reading all the forums and the pre engagement one was terrible! who are those women? the other ones werent so bad, but goodness, why waste your time being mean to people on the internet?

I have started a bio too- to save ideas, especially in dress searches it is really a nice feature! Hay- a girl has to budget right? These days few of us have the luxury of not contributing something if not everything for the event- so it helps to shop around and get an idea of what you are looking at!

You would think that they would be too busy planning their own weddings to waste their time bashing hopeful soon-to-be-engaged girls. I''ve never understood people who hurt others in order to make themselves feel bigger and better.

I lurked/posted on the knot for 6 months before I found PS and am so glad I am outta there. The women on there are horrible. They are catty, jealous, unsupportive, and mean. Its like middle school with diamonds. They get so mad whenever anyone talks about their bling (I love to hear about other women''s rings) and attack anyone with an opinion that is not considered mainstream. I never go on there anymore. I love PS because (I know this is silly b/c we are all strangers) but the people on here care. They seem sincerely happy or upset for people when good or bad things happen. It''s great. It is like free therapy

Sarcastic, seems to be the dominant personality over there. I''ve been to other boards that were nothing but flame-wars, but those were for computer games and (presumably) inhabited by highschool kids.

actually during my short lived "knotting stage" whenever there was a pre-e girl on there they just attacked her. I mean who cares? It is an open forum, anyone can look/post. They are crazy. They don''t even really talk about weddings that much. PS is heaven compared to the knot. Go take a look for yourself if you are curious.

Be VERY afraid!!! I lasted through 2 posts before I came running back to PS to ask about my invites and all. People here are not only MUCH MUCH MUCH more supportive, they offer great advice and are so helpful!!!
