Just having visions of sugar plums.... If Santa were to bring me some cold cash I'd be looking for ~1 carat old cut. Would you prefer the kozibe effect or not? One is J, the other L.

I've seen the L stone on eBay, and I think I've seen the J as well (from the same vendor) but I forgot the specs... Anyways, if you don't mind the lower color, I'd go with the L because iirc it faces up pretty good at 6.7-6.8mm despite being just over 1ct. You don't see too many old cuts that face up 6.5mm and are around the 1ct range. Usually they're more like 6mm if they're cut a bit more 'chunky.' Care to share how you'd plan to set it? :cheeky:

ETA: To answer your question about the kozibe effect, I don't think it's really as noticeable with the naked eye as it would be close up or under a loupe so I would just go with whichever stone appealed more to me price, color, clarity, etc wise.

Simple solitaire in yellow or rose gold.

Yes I prefer the Kozibe affect! It just tugs at my heart strings for some reason!

I love diamonds with lots of the Kozibe effect.

+1 for Kozibe! I love to sit and stare at my stone and just be mesmerized by all the magic happening inside of it!!

Another vote for the kozibe and smaller table. And I  the triangles made by the facets around the outer circle (sorry don't know proper term for those facets). I guess they are the "hearts" part. They really look beautiful IRL.

Yes, the kozibe J. Saw it on ebay and it is so nice...here's a thread on Kozibe effect

The reflections of the culet occur when crown and
pavilion facets are both steep. The same proportions
produce fire....Pairs of culet reflections on crown facets form when
light bounces off the center of the pavilion into the crown facets. The
reflection of the culet appears dark because light does not reflect back
from it but passes through.

The more kozibe the better. Shower me with kozibe. Bathe me in all it's glory.

Kozibe away!

Edited: i mean i like them...its probably an australian slang, saying 'away' at the end of the noun/verb...
