This is why I was the queen of the reset. My e-ring was set in two different 3 stone rings before going to my current chunky halo. I did not have a big center stone like Kristy, so I was trying to get more "ice" on my finger by doing a 3 stone, because 1 carat is just too small for me.Date: 5/15/2006 12:49:31 PM

i don''t like any of the bands with the ring...
to me the ring looks best when it''s on it''s own, it''s HUGE and it''s a very striking piece, so to me any of those three bands just provide a ''distraction'' from the piece itself.
and honestly this is kind of why i am sooo not sold on 3 stone rings...because i think they are super hard to pair with w-rings! and i really love the two ring thing. but your ring takes up so much real-estate on your finger KD...it doesn''t need anything else!
fab pictures by the way!! love it!
Got to agree w/ Mara here -- as I''ve always expressed here, I just think three-stones should "stand alone". But, for me it is the opposite of Mara, in that the three-stone appeals to me because of it standing alone, as I just have never cared for wearing two rings, it annoys me for some reason!Date: 5/15/2006 12:49:31 PM

KristyDarling, I think I tried typing compliments on your gorgeous new setting a while back, before I was out of town, but somehow I don''t think it came thru. So anyway, long-overdue compliments on your gorgeous new ring!!!!! Hard to add anything to all the well-deserved praise of that beauty already written in these many pages.
But since looking at the last page of this thread, I agree with Mara and especially headlight: ''I just think three-stones should ''stand alone''. But, for me it is the opposite of Mara, in that the three-stone appeals to me because of it standing alone, as I just have never cared for wearing two rings, it annoys me for some reason!'' I like the 2 ring tradition on others, but I also find it''s not the best for me: I love beautiful rings that stand alone, and not having to worry about the two sitting together & matching, and not being too much together etc....
Lastly, I have a question. I noticed at the top of the page you have two e-rings, one with side baguettes. I apologize if it was on a previous page, but what''s the story behind that? I like it!!
Same here; I always feel funny making some comments on pricescope, since it could seem I am insulting 85% of the other folks' rings/sets, when of course I actually think most others' rings are beautiful, but just not for me for one reason or another. But all that should be, hopefully, understood on PS. There are dozens of rings & sets I think are fabulous & beautiful on PS and in 'real life', but wouldn't be for me.Date: 5/15/2006 8:58:40 PM

Also, FYI to anyone that cares -- I DO love e-ring and w-rings together, just on me, personally, they never have felt right. I'm always fidgeting with them to either line up properly or to stay flush. Take that in the context that I have knuckle problems, .... So, I just didn't want everyone here to think that I was insulting their sets because that is not the case at all -- I'm totally envious of the two-ring wearers, which I could comfortably be one of them!
Of course your new ring is absolutely stunning, but I also love the baguette ring. I must admit I was glad to read your statement, "I think rounds with baguette sides is one of the classiest and most timeless looks around" since that is sort of the direction I'm leaning for my upgrade, and you don't see as much of it here on PS. I think the filigree is pretty too on yours, although I probably won't go with it either. Thanks for posting those pictures. Sorry to 'hijack' your thread with another of your own rings!!Date: 5/16/2006 7:28:09 PM

Even closer.
I LOVE this ring. I think rounds with baguette sides is one of the classiest and most timeless looks around. If I had to do it all over again, I would probably opt against all the filigree, but it's what I was crazy about at the time. Even so, I still think it's pretty nice.
