I think it would be fun, too! Unfortunately, my fiance is going to be gone all day, so I have to figure out how to get from here (West L.A.) to there (Melrose). I think I can do it. I really must learn to drive.

I have to be in Palos Verdes by 2:30 to meet with our church.

And don''t laugh b/c I''m getting my hair thermally straightened on Saturday so I have to wait 72 hours to wash it and it basically has to hang straight down during those 72 hours. My curly hair sucks.

You girls have fun! I''m sorry I''m missing it (in Santa Barbara with my sweetie), because it is right by my house. We went there a few weeks ago and loved it - so it should be a good time. If you show up dressed in your pajamas, they will give you free champagne. Maybe the next one can be at The Grove - that way if Ms Flutter has to work, she can join us for lunch - and there is good shopping there as well.

I still really want to come and I figured out the buses! yay! So are we still on at 11, is there a reservation name, I''ve heard the bungalows fill up fast?? I don''t think I''m going to show up in my pj''s, but I just bought a new skirt, maybe I''ll wear that. I would wear pjs if I were driving...but I don''t want to sit on the bus in my pjs haha, but somebody should get the free drinks! Amber, I''m posting a link to the metro bus system. I''m also coming from the WLA area and it was pretty easy to figure out with this. The link is a trip planner using the metro buses and you can type in your address and then the address of the restaurant and it will give you options. There are a couple of buses that head all the way up santa monica. Then you can get off at La Brea and walk a few blocks to melrose and it''s practically on the courner. If you haven''t taken the buses before...I would allow a pretty long time to get there on time and it costs $1.25 each way (and they are VERY picky about exact change by the way...). It could take an hour or so with waiting at the bus stop... Hope that helps! Here''s the link:

I have to work at 2, they are letting me come in late since I have been working 12 hour days 6 days a week! i so need a break! looking forward to seeing you. And yes, at some point we should meet up at the Grove, its like my second home!

Amber, I feel silly now reading over the thread. Somtimes I gloss over the threads and post irrelevant stuff, bad habit. For some reason I thought you couldn''t drive...but now reading over it sounds more like you just don''t drive much. oops, sorry for the bus info...just ignore it! Would it be appropriate to order desserts for brunch?? They sound so good on the menu? By the way, do we have a reservation?

KCoursolle, I actually DON''T drive, because I can''t. Totally doesn''t make sense. Seriously, I have panic attacks.

So, since my fiance (damn! almost said boyfriend!!) has a track meet on Sunday, so I won''t get a ride, so thanks for the bus info. I will be there, by 11. It feels like we''re all going on a double date. Ha ha ha. "I''ll be wearing a red rose.." I thought we had a reservation, but I''m not sure... Also, I want to eat all of those desserts there, too! I''m hungry just reading the menu.

MSflutter, I saw the new places at the Grove, and we can totally meet there someday. Seriously, I go there all the time. Hm.. Maybe I should go there after the brunch and meet my dad there for a movie or something.

Amber, I have panic attacks too - but only when I go on the freeway. Its such a helpless feeling, because it is completely debilitating and there is nothing you can do about it (at least that is how it feels). Its just an absolute and crushing feeling of doom. So, I just CAN''T go on the freeway. Regular traffic, I''m fine. And I used to be fine on the freeway. Just one day about a year and a half ago it hit me and now I''m stuck. I completely understand how you feel.

Ms Flutter, we''ll definitely get together at the Grove. Do you know if they have a JCrew there? And if they do, would you mind checking for me if they have those men''s seersucker suits? I think that is what my fiance is going to wear for our wedding (if they look good on him). I would really appreciate that.

LAJennifer-- there is a JCREW here, i can see it from our Cafe window. Will check at lunch for the searsucker suit. Sounds sharp!

I of course, havent bought a car, and dont plan on it now till I have to. So I will again have my driver, ummm... FI drop me off

I''ve been away all week on a biz trip, and am now home and catching up.

Amber- THANKS for posting the reservation info. I honestly don''t remember the reservation name it''s under. It was DIAMOND for the first one, so it should be that for this one. I''ll double-check, and change it to DIAMOND if need be.

Hope to see everyone there- I''m soooo loooking forward to the weekend. The last few days on the road have been tough!

Did you all have fun? Where are the pictures?? The Bungalow Club must have been a blast! You can get away with wearing pajamas AND get a free drink for it?? I MUST go there now.

My conference was pretty rough and it''s sad that I had to miss the get-together for that. If I''m in town, I''ll definitely make the next one.

It was fun! There were only 3 of us, but when Chargergrrl had to leave, KCoursolle and I took a stroll down La Brea, and one girl, when looking at K''s ring and mine, asked if we were "together" (we have the same center stone, difference of .04 carats). Food was great! We should all go there again, we had a blast.. Can''t wait until the next one!!
