https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...olor-vs1-clarity-true-hearts-cut-sku-12095596. I am really liking the specs on this one, but the shafts of the arrows seem thick - is it the camera angle? Just seems a little asymmetric to me? Any suggestions? How about this one? https://www.withclarity.com/diamonds/index/diamonddetail/id/470126050. Any experience with With Clarity? Is it too "spready"? I am hoping to use my existing side stones (I have six 0.16 stones) as part of the band - I like the idea that With Clarity will do a mock up.

First one is an undisclosed blue nuance and the second one is a CVD+PGT that leans gray.

Check out this beauty. If you like what you see, then I recommend that you contact them ASAP and put it on hold/reserve.

Thank you for your quick reply! Pardon my ignorance, but what is a blue nuance and how can you tell? I am new to this! I looked up the CVD, and it makes sense to lean away from this! Also, that is a beautiful diamond you posted - we will be in the LA area in awhile, and it may make sense that we can go by and see them in person!

I've purchased from WithClarity. The pair of diamonds I got are amazing!!! I know another member recently bought a lab diamond from them that's beautiful. THe particular one you sent doesn't rev my engine. How much are you looking to spend and what are you looking for in size and color?

My pleasure and here is some additional info for you:
Blue nuance (sometimes referred to as "Light Blue") is caused by Boron being present in the crystalline lattice, resulting in a Type IIb diamond that will have an unnatural steely-blue or turquoise tint.

If you spin the diamond so that you are looking at it from the side profile, you can see the tint (usually predominant towards the edges of the crown/girdle).

Here's a decent article about it with some pictures for reference:

I can go up to around 27K, hoping to get an ideal cut, F colour, around 3.75+ carats

Thank you! Is a fiery ideal cut similar to a true hearts or super ideal?

Great question!
FIC refers to the range of angles and proportions.

As I will need to have the ring custom made, with my side diamonds - do you have any comment as to workmanship with either of these stores? Thank you!

That's a nice find, DejaWiz!

Do you think the blue nuance on the James Allen stone is on the subtle side and might not be noticed in regular viewing? I love the look of it otherwise.

It's pretty grayish-blue so I wouldn't risk it, personally.

Thank you to all! My local jeweller was able to source this beautiful lab grown 4.00 carat D colour VS1 beauty. He remade the setting exactly as I wanted, platinum, and the side stones are mined diamonds from my original wedding band. I only want to wear the single ring. This is the most beautiful diamond and ring I could have imagined - Happy 30th anniversary to us, and to a happy 30 more years!

Thank you for all of your valuable input! My jeweller said that I went in knowing way more than he did! He is a great guy - worked hard to get exactly the kind of diamond I was looking for, and came in less than what I expected too!
