I am a Ms. but you can refer to me as just Ali. Though I will usually answer to Alli as well.

For those who are interested:

I have a degree in communications and have been interested in computers all my life. This has lead to various opportunities including website design, maintenance and most often management. I also have previous experience in moderating message boards. I think the combined attributes will make a great fit here and I look forward to new growth and good experiences for the members of Pricescope.

Having been here since 2002 or so (I had a previous nym), I will tell you that PS is a special place with a lot of people who care deeply about it. I''ve seen some pretty heated discussions over the years, but by and large everyone has the same priorities: obsessing about diamonds.

I like your avatar, Ali. Now we know your age and your sex. Your relative age, that is. By having been interested in computers all your life you gave us the heads up that you were not part of the team that built the first IBM computer.

I can remember my husband bringing home a strange device from work that he put the telephone into. That was my introduction to computers. If I had been intereted in them, I could have seen some punch cards earlier than that, though.
