Researcher, thank you for your kind words. Keep in mind that the photo above (on hand) was a close up in macro mode. The diamond does look much larger than every other 3/4 ct. I have seen. It looks close (and sometimes larger) than maul 1 ct. It is not close to a 1.5 however. My MIL has a ring that has a 1.3, .75, .5 surrounded by baguettes. The cuts are very good but not fab. My diamond is smaller than the 1.3, and visibly larger than the .75. (obviously larger) Drives my MIL nuts.

The funny thing is that she used to work at a jewelry store (B&M type) and mine is the first ideal cut diamond she had ever seen in person. (another reason I bought online) Anybody out there wants an experiment, let me know. If I can do it, I will.

wow!!! i guess diamond dose glow in the dark.

Yup, Vtigger, it certainly does seem to, doesn't it? I have a correction to the experiment on the kitchen counter. With regards to the lights, they were not two 60 watt bulbs, they were 40 watt bulbs. You know the kind that you use in ceiling fan fixtures with multiple lights. I got curious today, and checked it out. I just thought the 60s would throw off more light than that, and I was correct. Sorry for the mistake.
