List of MMD / Laboratory Grown Diamond sellers

The selection for 5+ ct isn't great, hardly any at all. I'm looking for ECs or Asschers only. For pinks and blues, I can also do ovals or pears.

Ritani has the biggest supply and seems very affordable compared to the rest. Is there anything wrong with Ritani?

Distinctive Gem is pretty pricey - why? Is it better?

DbL has no blues or pinks over 5+ ct. Same goes for the precision cut Brian Gavin and Whiteflash.

Any other top brands I'm missing?

A lot of people here are having success Ritana with the help of DejaWiz and Kim N , but I think this might be the wrong place to put this post. Maybe start a new one not under the sellers category.

I have searched thru Distinctive Gem as well and had the same question as you. Are they Rhino's picks of the best of the best?

I'd recommend karaters.com because they offer good deals on wholesale lab-grown diamonds. I like that their offers are ethically grown and sourced. I also got a freebie (diamond studs) from my last order so that's a nice touch.

Forum violation..."Trade Members" section 1 and 2:

Adding a source that has been extremely helpful that I didn’t see mentioned here.
dreamstone .com.

@Amoura96 your posts all seem to violate PS policies that you agreed to when you signed up.

I personally wouldn't trust in ANY upgrade policy.

I totally get this opinion. In a way, any lifetime guarantee made by a company has obvious limitations.
"Lifetime"... whose lifetime are we talking about?
BUT- speaking as someone running a company that has had a working trade-up policy for 25 years.......it's possible to maintain an ethical commitment to trade up.. even when considering LGD's. What we sell...it's not really diamonds. It's a service, and ethics. Neither of those should be affected by the source of the rough diamond.
I will say that one of the things that is seemingly slipping away are some important traditions. A lot of the newer LGD companies do not seem to continue the traditions of the diamond business that have existed my whole life. Your word is your bond, that sort of thing.

DbL has no blues or pinks over 5+ ct.

They are out there...and I'm sure any of the fine companies being discussed here can source them.
My perspective? The prices need to stabilize ( come down) on the larger LGDs......I'm waiting.......

I have discovered how to buy directly from Anjali Diamonds. This is the Indian manufacturer of many of the diamonds we’ve been buying through the above vendors at mark-up prices. If you write to [email protected], he will send you the stock list of diamonds in Mumbai or New York City…you can ask to see one or both. On the list, the unit price is the per carat price, and the price of the actual stone is just to the right of it.

I have purchased four gorgeous stones from Anjali, and am so happy with them. They come with IGI certification. The middle man is completely cut out, and the prices are a fraction of what you would pay elsewhere. I did have one bad experience where my stone got misplaced in the New York office and took much longer to reach me than it should have, but it all came out right in the end and the people at Anjali were so apologetic and accommodating.

Just recently I dropped into the NY office and they let me browse the stones (I had pre-chosen the ones I wanted to look at from the stock list), and even gave me a discount on already-low prices.

I visited https://anjalidiamonds.com/lab-grown-diamonds-india/ . And they don't sell lab items, nor do they have a store address? Has anyone bought here yet? I need to buy 1 purple lad diamond. Thank

Thanks for the recommendation, reached out to Bhawna recently. Glad to hear you had good experiences.

B2Cjewels.com has the best prices.

Has anyone heard of friendly diamonds? I am helping my nephew buy something for his gf....would like round close to 2ct, WG

Adiamor has great customer service, competitive prices and GCAL 8x is one of the lab certification filters you can choose when looking for rounds and ovals (possibly other shapes too,IDK) . The diamond I bought was lovely but wasn’t quite right for my setting. The return process was super easy and I’ve never received a refund from an online merchant for anything as quickly as I did from Adiamor for the diamond I sent back. I gave the pkg. to FedEx at mid morning on Tuesday. I received a refund email from Adiamor the following afternoon! Wow!

Did they provide you with a pre-paid label or did you have to arrange this yourself?

Oh yes this was me. Satish was great and I'm super happy with my huggies - stone quality is top notch, and the work is excellent. There are hundreds and hundreds of diamond dealers, cutters, and jewellers in Surat - a huge proportion of the world's diamonds are now cut there. I have worked with a few dealers and jewellers there and it has been smooth sailing. Be aware that returns policies are not what you would expect from a US-based dealer but the price difference is substantial and if you do your due diligence the work can be extremely beautiful.

TL;DR - excellent experience with The Diamond Bucket!

I wanted to post a detailed review of my experience with The Diamond Bucket in Surat, now that I've made a few purchases.

I go down rabbitholes, as I'm sure many PSers do, and I love the thrill of the search. I also love getting to know people and understand more about who they are, what makes them tick, and get a feel for context. Since "returning" to my diamond/jewellery interest in the last 6 or so months I have been delving into the world of LGD, initially through more conventional consumer pathways, but quite quickly switched to looking for direct-to-consumer suppliers and dealers in Surat.

I am a fancy cut girl, and quite quickly came to The Diamond Bucket. I made contact with Darshit and initially was just scoping regarding the business, what they do, etc. They cut and deal in natural and lab diamonds and also have an arm that specialises in salt and pepper diamonds.

They will custom cut LGD at 3ct+ but also have a rolling inventory in LGD, coloured and colourless natural stones. They have some particularly gorgeous champagne and brown naturals, and provide all information - high res photos, videos, etc. Antique style cuts (OEC, OMC, ovals, pears, ECs, rose cuts) are a particular interest and strength, and I am also drooling over the baguettes and am hoping to eventually do some kind of Art Deco ziggurat type baguette-apalooza!

I have so far purchased three stones - all relatively small purchases, but I am sure I will return again and again for future projects.

The first was a 0.7ct antique cut marquise I had set in a bangle by DK (I have posted this elsewhere). I have since bought a larger antique cut pear, and a larger still antique EC (this one for a friend).

Darshit has been proactive, helpful, and fun to converse with throughout - and eager to please. The communication both through IG and through WhatsApp has been excellent.

Shipping is through express international courier with full tracking information provided and payment is facilitated through PayPal commerce. I received my stones safe and sound in Australia less than a week after purchase.

Would be happy to discuss my experience with anyone who wishes to know more!

@pancake once you got the stones did you use DK for the settings or someone local? Or someone from India? I think the diamond bucket only sells the stones so we would need a jeweller to set it?

I'm working on finding a trusted jeweller in Surat, haha. But for now, yes - sending to DK to work his magic. Darshit is happy to send the stones anywhere.

Did Darshit send the stones to DK directly or did you get them first and then send them to DK? I wish we had someone as good and reasonable as DK here. Would be keen to know if you find someone trustworthy in Surat!

I forgot to mention a couple of things -

- the business also trades as ApexGems99 on Etsy - lots of positive feedback there. Obviously! it is far cheaper to buy direct than on an e-commerce platform, but they have started uploading some LGD there (it has primarily been for selling S&P diamonds)
- shipping cost is $30 to the US, slightly variable elsewhere (was a bit more to Australia this time as issues with shipping companies)
- pricing - compared to buying from a dealer in eg the US it is a LOT cheaper. Almost shockingly so.

When I do, I will definitely share - I'm not one to gatekeep, and jewellery is for everyone! Darshit sent the mini marquise directly to David. The other stones have been sent to me, as I don't have clear projects in mind for them yet - a friend is going to LA in Sept and I'll get her to drop them off to DK then. I really love working with David because he makes it so easy, so am happy with this arrangement for the time being.

Oh - and here's a terrible phone pic of the stones when they arrived today!

Did you email The Diamond Bucket with the specs you were looking for? Can you share the email address? I am looking for a matching pair of lab EOC's for custom earrings. Since your post in June have you found any other companies you recommend? Thanks!!
