how come so many of you don''t like your jobs? im a grad student and i keep thinking i want to quit my PhD and go get a job already, im so sick of studying. im wondering though if i wont just hate my job then too and wnat to quit that and go back to studying if i do quit my PhD.... :-p

I actually really like my job...I know I''m lucky. It''s just work in general I''m tired of!

My friends are always telling me how good I have it. However, not every job can be perfect...for awhile I didn''t get along with my boss. Now we get along great, but as many people will tell you, most of the time people do not quit jobs - they quit their boss/management.

Here are my five things right now.

1. I''m so tired and drained. I really need to go lay down on my bed.
2. I wonder when he''s going to propose (soon, I hope).
3. I wonder how the ring will turn out (We picked the setting and the diamond together, but not sure how the finished product will look like. Will I like it? Will it be sparkly enough?)
4. I keep worrying about whether we can have a Catholic ceremony in the church (he''s Catholic and I''m Buddhist). I want to make his parents happy (they are very devoted to their religion), but then again, we need to do what will make us happy (I am not converting, etc.)
5. I need to get off of pricescope so I can finish watching the rest of season 3 of Nip Tuck. It''s so easy to get hooked on this site!

I wish I wasn''t such a worry-wart. Night time is always my worrying time.

Not to go way off topic here, but RG, perhaps you could go over to the brides forum and catch gingercookie''s attention. I am not sure if she is buddhist, but she had an Asian ceremony and a catholic ceremony. The first for her family and the second for his. Its just a thought.

Hi ilovesparkles - I did ask gingerBcookie yesterday in her "I''m Married!" thread, and she responded. Thanks for letting me know, though. I believe she is Buddhist because she had a ceremony in the Buddhist temple. The first ceremony she had was a traditional Vietnamese ceremony at the bride''s house (which I am having as well).

Thanks Blenhiem. That guy''s got an interesting take on things, doesn''t he? I for one was so happy that Paul got what he got for the price he got. Not cheap, by any means, not to us, but a good "deal" as far as diamonds go.

He's ADORABLE! When we stopped for gas, we had five different people coming up wanting to pet him. No kidding. I've taken pics, but my computer is not recognizing my camera AGAIN (which is the same reason that I don't have that many ring pics up in my SMTR thread), and Dylan needs to go on a little bit of a walk, but I swear that I'll work on it when we get back.


ETA: Okay, just started working, so I'm going to start a thread in Hangout and then leave.
