Little girls in high heels...

When I used to go to the gym I would often wear my work out clothes out and about before I went to exercise, but when I go swimming I would bring my swimsuit and change into it at the gym.

If they are dance shoes then her mother is making the choice that they are appropriate to wear and walk in outside of the dance class. I would not agree with that decision.

If she is making a fashionable choice and mitigating that by buying specially supportive ''dance'' shoes then I also can feel myself being critical.

She is not my kid and I am sure my 0.02 will not impact Suri''s upbringing but I would regret this becoming a trend for impressionable girls and ''trendy'' mothers.

She looks like a three year old playing dress up to go out to lunch. Give me a break.

Look, these people are actors, they play dress up for a living and of course their little one wants to participate in the fun. They aren''t "normal" people, when is the moral majority going to realize that they are not role models? Who cares if this kid is wearing heels? Is it HURTING your child to see that? No. Is it going to CAUSE your child to become a prostitute? No.
Well, unless your kid isn''t very intelligent, then you have a whole other issue.

I don''t consider the heels (gold pair) on Suri''s shoes high at all. It''s the t-strap style that I don''t care for. Also, I think the red outfit is cute minus the purse & shoe style.

yes Katie dresses the same way..Katie is a GROWN WOMAN. Little girls learn at that age how to be young ladies, and eventually women. If she is dressing her little girl in heels now, at 10-13 she is going to feel like shes all grown up and will be just like the other kid celebs. The one in the red coat, she already looks like a little 16 yr old street walker!

I can see why you don''t like the red coat outfit. It is not at all the outfit I would put on a little girl. The shiny, longer length coat mixed with the gold age inappropriate shoes IMHO does not become the image of a young little girl. It is an outfit that I could imagine on a more aware young lady/woman.

You seem to be taking this very personally MP. We all did this or that in our youth which now would be frowned on by many do good-ers in society. Doesn''t mean a kid will be harmed for life if they do x or y that we did, just means that perhaps we know a little better now. Perhaps.

They are shoes. My (future) kid will not be getting a pair.

I think it''s gross just like I think that toddlers and tiaras show is disgusting. Those Mom''s are living through their kids and they aren''t letting them be KIDS! I have a 4 year old daughter and while she has some barbie dress up shoes she occasionally rocks at home when she''s "pretending" to be a grown up I''m going to hang on to her being a KID for as long as I can. Our current society is aging our kids prematurely and I personally hate it. I can''t believe the differences from when I was a kid to these days. I think being naive is the most endearing and beautiful thing about a child. I will by no means shelter my child but I''m also going to hold on to these days of her being so innocent. Wow I really unleashed some feelings there, I feel MUCH better!

Personally? No, I just think it''s wrong to say a little girl looks like a street walker just because of a pair of shoes and a red coat. And she''s 3 - she has no way to defend her mothers choices or even defend herself. I don''t see why it''s ok to talk like she isn''t a human being, and a child at that.

I don't see anything wrong with the cut. Around the holidays they sell that long jacket/dress combo in every store. I think the look is old fashioned especially if paired with a hat, which is why I like it.

Yeah, I think the issue is that heels are considered something that is "sexy" and so putting a toddler in heels is somehow sexualizing her.

So even though the rest of the outfit is modest and may not have drawn comments with some cute patent leather mary janes, the heels change the whole look.

Not for my daughter. I hate this kinda stuff. Kids need to be kids and I feel that this encourages them to grow up fast. I know it''s just a fashion trend but I don''t think it''s kewl. I think she is going to be a tall girl so I don''t think she would need them!
