I have definitely thought about eloping, maebelle. I don't necessarily want a big wedding, but I would like something small with just my immediate family and closest friends. Definitely no more than 75 people. If we were to elope, I know my parents would be upset. So, for now eloping isn't really an option. If things with his family don't settle down sometime within the next year though, we may discuss it as an option.
ETA: I have thought about a destination wedding though. That way we still get a small ceremony, but kind of get away with not inviting too many people.
I'm sorry that you may have to wait longer now maebelle. We can keep each other company here though!
