I need to start dancing again!!!! Seriously, going from a retail-walk-5-miles-a-day-around-the-store + dancing 5 hours a week to a desk job + no dancing is a horrible thing to do to a body.

Ooh, Sunny--you''re a dancer, too? What sort? I swing dance but haven''t gotten to go much recently.
Hey lady! What don''t I do...jazz, modern, tap, ballet, hip hop...I think that about covers it.

I would LOVE to do swing though, it''s so much fun!!! Sucks that classes are so expensive. I don''t have time to teach it anymore so I don''t get freebie classes.

I feel you on that one--one reason I miss the big city is that there''s social swing dancing pretty much every night of the week, so even though I didn''t take classes, I used to go all the time.

I''ve done all the things I wanted to do before engagement. Graduated, got a teaching job, received outstanding lesson observation :-) Couldn''t be happier at work! Even lost the six pounds (weight not money! Hee hee!) I''ve been finding difficult to shift! Now come on engagement!!

So how about a new project or goal, Chocolate? You could learn to knit! Take up the ukelele. Volunteer at an animal shelter...

Think I got 2 months to wait, and it gets harder and harder to focus.... So

I have 2 new opera roles this season to learn (big ones...EEK!), and I have thrown myself into working out. Trying to use the time focusing on me things.... But fits of impatience HAVE INDEED been good for my organization.... closets have all been torn apart and reorganized... files redone...house is spotless.... impatiences solves a MYRIAD of problems in the household! Hahahha

Well i can alraedy kit but will consider the ukelele

Hmmmmm, that did not come out right! I can already knit I meant to say!! :-)

I highly recommend the ukelele. It is a fast-track to cool.

Oooh so many fantastic responses! 5k runs! Swing dancing! The UKELELE!

Don''t worry, ice_princess, I''d love to be playing ratchet and clank. My bf hasn''t caved yet and bought a playstation, but it''s coming. (I think he may just have spent all his money on something shiny though...

Delster, I''m trying to finish a PhD too! It''s killing me, I think. Originally my bf was planning to wait until I finished before we talked about getting engaged, but fortunately he''s let that plan go. Otherwise I would be insane or dead by now.

I think my big waiting activity (you can''t count the PhD, it''s been going on for too long) is yoga. I''ve been to exactly 1 class! Yay, me! (Also, ouch...)
pjean mine has been going on for too long too. I am beyond done. My parents found me a weird child because I liked studying. I sought out exams!!! Well, I''m cured.

BF and I have mutually agreed to wait until both our PhDs are done - we both wanted to wind up that chapter before moving on to the next stage. Well, his is done and mine drags ever on.

Ay ay ay... I badly need a kick up the derrière! Ladies keep the motivational responses coming! Please!

I think this is a great candidate for a *bump*. There are a few new girls around here and I''d love to hear what everyone will be doing while they wait.

I would like to start running again. I used to run 10 miles a day and then I stopped. I need to get back into shape!

i''m taking up dancing again to lose some of this weight from college and those late nights of partying and studying and ordering pizza(uggggggh), it''s just so darn expensive if your parents aren''t paying for it like in high school haha

i used to do ballet about 8 hours a week throughout the year and in the summer id go to dance camp and dance outside for about 25 hours a week, i had the best tan!

i like to do jazz/hip hop/funk, tap, ballet, and modern. i did cheerleading for a year but it really wasn''t the same.

here''s hoping i can get back to this figure sometime soon!! oh god please ignore the costume ladies lol

Aw - so cute smurfy! Love it! I hear you on the getting more active front and losing some weight. I plan on training for a 5k starting in March (after the big push of a few birthdays, etc) and hope to drop some pounds. Good luck with dancing and have a lot of fun!
