LM pricing question

HI all, I was browsing Leon Mege's Art of Platnium site today, and he has a price index of one to five stars for settings. The problem is, I have no idea what a ballpark range is for his work. Could someone provide an estimation for the range of each of his price levels?

As far as I know, there is no strict relationship between the price index and the price quote. A plain solitaire would be around $1800-$2000.

I have a fairly simple LM setting with some channel set Megeasaurus diamonds and 2 years ago it cost around 2K in platinum. I still love my ring and the setting to me is very high end looking.

Thank you for your responses. I am not looking at one of the simplest settings, but one which is specified to be mid-range in price. Does anyone know if each star represents about 2k, or if the ranges increase exponentially with each star?

My ring was given a two star rating and was $2800. Hope that helps.
