Hello Everyone,
Well I am really torn between 2 diamonds. They are both Marquise shape. The first one is F, IF and .41 carat, the second is D, SI1 and .53 carat and this has a twinning wisp. They both sound great as far as all the percentages and both are listed on B2C jewels site. I am not sure what is the next thing to consider after cut. Thanks

Hi,

Sorry but what is a twinning wisp?

Cut has nothing to with shape. An excellent cut of any shape will look bigger and have better light performance than one of the same shape that isn't cut well. Can you ask them if they do ASET or Idealscope images to assess light performance (I forget if they do...)?

If you tell us your budget we can help you find something that possibly already has light performance data on it. You really want the best cut for the buck!

I would never buy a fancy cut stone without seeing anything about it! I say a big NAY to either. What's your budget?

My budget for diamont alone is $1100. And I really want 1/2 carat marquise and a color D E or F Definitely excellent cut but cut grades are not given for marquise on GIA report as i understand it. And GIA certificate please. My problem is all of the ones that sound really good and I have seen the reports online, I just cant see the actual stone.

B2C should be able to get you a picture at the very least. I think they do ASET images upon request. I wouldn't consider buying a diamond without at least seeing a picture. Would you marry a girl if you had never seen what she looks like?

Thanks for the links to james allen WOW they are all beautiful and I would be happy with any one of those. Mary
