A couple of years ago I was in an estate jewelry place located inside ABC Carpet & Home in NYC, it''s owned by Deborah Mellen and Billy Ford. I saw an amazing setting and have not seen anything like it since. Since my BF and I are ready to buy we called the place to see if they still have it, they do not. When I saw it the first time I was told it was made exclusively for the Mellen & Ford shop by a setter in England.
Ok, about the setting....it''s an antique reproduction...if I had to classify I would probably say it was art deco style. Very simple, beaded diamonds on the sides along the ring and the crown of the ring had very tiny diamonds on it. The setting is platinum.
If anyone knows anything regarding this setting please contact directly.

This old post lists a bunch of vendors who sell antique reproductions.

Also, Fay Cullen has some as well.

Maybe if you can find a picture that looks like what you remember, we can be of more help.

Thanks for the info.....I'll check that out.
I had a picture but moved and it was lost in the move....

It says on their website:

The Deborah Mellen & Billy Ford collection boasts art-deco, Georgian, Victorian or retro pieces by Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, Maouboussin and Boucheron.

So, you might want to check out those designers!

Hi tobeengaged,

I, too fell in love with the exact same setting as well as several other similar ones at Billy Ford & Deborah Mellen's estate jewelry shop in ABC Carpet in home. In fact I was just in there tonight looking at their collection of engagement rings. In the past I've also tried to do some research to find out where they get their settings and all I've heard from them was the same that you did - England. I also have looked extensively and have never been able to find anything identical to what they have. I have talked with them a bit and they do offer the service of switching out stones so that you could have a particular stone (bought only through them unfortunately) mounted in the setting you are describing. They have a 2.06 Asscher in the one you described currently in stock. Please let me know if you were able to find the name of the company or a close replica and I'll keep you posted if I come across the same.

Thanks!
Hetty
