Looking for a vintage wedding band

Me again :)

So while waiting on a reply to a message from Ivy and Rose I kept looking of course.

What are peoples thoughts on this one? I love the fact it is genuine vintage and has an older cut of stone.

There are no details on the quality/clarity of the stones or TCW. Maybe someone can help me out?

It doesn't require sizing and looks like free postage which doesn't sound like much but adds up (I think about $180AUD from Ivy and Rose)

Feel free to tell me its crap you all know way more than I do :)

Nothing wrong with that band, just be aware that rose cuts are a different flavor, they are less "sparkle" and more "watery shimmer" best way to describe it.

Rose cuts don’t sparkle very much. Some people like them, but I’m not a fan. I wouldn’t buy a band made with them unless you’ve seen the cut in person and like the look.

Thank you so much for all your replies. It really is very helpful.

I am waiting on a reply from Ivy and Rose before I can make a decision.

I think the problem is I want that vintage feel but with sparkle which seems to be difficult to find at least in my price bracket.

I am also trying to think what will work well with the knife edge solitaire. I am worried a bulky band like the one below which I like will mean my just over 1 ct pear will be swamped by it. I haven't shared before it was just another way I was thinking to go.

So if I am thinking overall I want a vintage feel that is suitable to be left permanently on my hand, looks good worn on its own and with my Ering without swamping it, also with some sparkle I am probably best to go for something slimmer? Is that what most people would recommend?

In which case I am looking probably at one of the ones from Ivy and Rose

Or something that is a little more modern which will lose the vintage feel but up the sparkle maybe

ARGH my brain

What's the story with the last one you posted? It is your size? It looks promising.

Here is a link

I would need to size it up they can't do it due to lockdown but could look at doing it here once that is lifted. It needs to go from 5 1/4 to a 7 1/2 not sure if that is possible so have messaged them

It is a modern design but the slight miligrain edge gives it a vaguely vintage feel.

I had a stupid romantic notion of wearing something someone else has worn with its own story and I love the Art Deco period but perhaps that isn't ideal for a wedding band? Would pave be ok for everyday all day wear?

Pave can be worn (carefully) daily. I wouldn't wash dishes, do gardening or heavy lifting or sleep with it, but I don't do that with any ring pave or not.

I really hate to say this because the band does look promising but I think sizing pave that much will be problematic.

I think the first and third Ivy and Rose rings are great options, the second might not sit very well against a solitaire because of the shape of the metal around the diamonds. The curved band would also work nicely (and I'm not just saying that because I suggested it! Lol)

You could take your top three or four and post a poll if there isn't one your are really drawn to and you want to get some opinions.
