Hello all!

Long shot request. If anyone's got anything or has seen/runs into a band that suits please keep me in mind?

Must haves:
- Full eternity
- Size 4.75 or size 5
- Channel set, no prongs
- All green stones (ex. no diamond/emerald combos). Emerald not required - green garnet, peridot, chrome diopside - all works. Synthetic is fine. Treated is fine as long as treatment is permanent - no coating.
- All stones are the same shape (ex. no alternating square/round combos)
- Platinum, palladium, 18k gold (any colour), or 14k gold (any colour)
- Already available - I don't want to have a vendor make one in my size
- Reasonably undamaged - some wear and tear on stones is fine, faded engraving/milgrain is fine, needs channels rebuilt or stones replaced is not

Wants:
- Vintage
- Square or rectangular stones preferred over rounds
- Platinum preferred
- Beryl preferred over other material
- Could drop to size 4.5 for an otherwise-perfect match
- Would love a branded piece

:wavey:

I have been on the look out for an emerald band too...only window shopping though until budget catches up with my expectations but these are on my Etsy list.

For the moment I will live vicariously through you :-)

(A few weeks ago I saw a genuine vintage platinum band with square emeralds in a size 5 (I1/2) on a UK auction site. My heart skipped a beat when I saw it because I have been looking for a while but it was well past its best and I passed. I think vintage ladies had much larger fingers and I'm finding the smaller bands don't come along that often).

Emerald eternities are so hard to find and then to find one in a specific size, you have to get the timing just right.

I would love one but the only one I found in my size is $950, too much for me, I'd be happy with synthetic for $300

I know this is slightly too big but sizing beads?

Y'all are wonderful!

Greens really are hard to find - especially compared to blues and reds!! I have carre bands in white, red, and blue from Tiffany, and I'd love a Tiffany green one day, but I've been passively searching for a couple years now and have thus far been unsuccessful so I think this might be a case of hope springs eternal :twisted2:

@Slick1 I would LOVE frenchies. But I'd have to get it resized and I just don't want to take that risk, especially with a vintage piece in such fabulous condition :(
I was eyeing this one as a possible candidate for cannibalization but - I could have one made new for this cost! I just like the idea of vintage stones.

@Tartansparkles Yes!! Google images is such a party pooper. So many pieces that aren't available, that never were available! Plenty of "damn it" here too :boohoo:

@StephanieLynn Oh my goodness thank you so much!! I swear I searched Etsy and eBay :shifty:

I really like both of those. The first one is perfect - and inexpensive, much easier to justify as a #PlaceholderUntilIFindThatTiffany. I sent a message asking if they're shipping right now, and if they could snap a pic in a different lighting type. I like the fact that the stones in the second aren't synthetic but I do prefer the thinner channels of the first, all else equal ::)

@yssie Oh my that JbG band is so delicious. I agree about sizing though I have had inner polishing done to go a tad bigger. Smaller would prove a more cumbersome solution.
I’ll continue to keep an eye out.

HI:

Not what you want but I'll post it anyway

cheers--Sharon

Oh, that's awesome, looks like you get both?! Could be a deal, keep one sell the other right here on PS! ;-)

I think you do get both rings. The auction ends tomorrow.

Now if only they were auctioning off the super ideal cut band I’m looking for...

Oh my goodness - I registered!! THANK YOU for the heads up @SallyB!!

And they're mine, all mine, my greenies :Up_to_something::mrgreen:

And I'll be doing exactly what @CHRISTY-DANIELLE said and listing one here soon! I don't need two ::)

So glad you got them! What a find that was literally everything you were looking for.

Congrats. Those look freaking gorgeous.

Hurray!!! Congrats @yssie :D

Good news:
Received both rings today!

Bad news:
One is damaged. The seller clearly refinished both engraving and channel walls, and got a little too polish-happy - the walls in one area on one ring are so thin that they've pulled away from the stones and snapped off. I suspect the integrity of both rings is compromised by this refinish, but I would keep the undamaged one and baby it if they're willing to do do a half refund. If not - both are going back.

The box that these were shipped out in was also not glued or taped. Just a cardboard box with the flap pushed into the receiving end, with some tissue inside, with a small obviously-holding-jewellery paper box inside that (that box was taped). What in the world was whoever shipped this thinking!?

:(sad

I was worried about that. I’ve bought Jewelry from them once before and was disappointed. The pictures are never like what you receive -so hard to see the flaws. I just learned a valuable lesson. Will they allow a refund?

Both rings are unwearable. I sent closeup photos - if they don't permit me a refund I'll do a chargeback, no hesitation. My out of pocket was over $4000 for both - wayyyyy too much to absorb the cost of redoing the channel walls. If it had been a $2000 purchase that would be a different scenario.

Definitely disappointed, but sometimes auctions do bring pain-in-the-backside-ery, so I was prepared to possibly need to deal with a return. What I'm angry about is the way that they were shipped - I'm honestly suprised I got the rings at all. No tape, no glue, NOTHING, just a closed box!?

So dissapointing! So sorry this was not a positive experience but I hope you get a speedy resolution.

I’m sorry to hear this happened! :x2

Aww, I was so excited for you. How disappointing! I hope it gets resolved in the best way for you!

If they’d been as advertised and in wearable condition they’d have been worth every penny - the french cut emeralds are darling! Just unfortunate - I’ll keep y’all posted!

@yssie , I've been looking at that site EBTH for colored gems. I've been close to pulling the trigger on a few items, but I'm scared off because of your experience. Hopefully you get resolution on your purchase!

EBTH rep got back to me at 10am today - really quick response! They want me to mail them back for gemologist review - they offered to either send me a prepaid label to print, or have UPS pick up from my house. So far they’ve been helpful and pleasant :))

That is great to hear! Hopefully it goes smoothly. GL

That's great. I should've tried to send back the crappy ruby ring I bought from them but it was really before I knew anything....
