My husband got tired of me leaving Gem boxes around the house, especially windowsills, and bought me a cheap set of drawers from eBay: 5 drawers with 50 jars each. He was shocked when I needed a second one. Despite not liking the look of the drawers, organizing has transformed my experience with my collection. I labeled each jar with gem, origin and vendor. I can easily put 5 trays on the table (or bed) at once. I realized I have too much of some gems with that info I spent much less at the latest gem show (NY, NJ show in Edison, NJ) I’m focusing on what I’ll set and what I may try to sell. I even brought a tray to work a few times just to look at them. Some Pics are above. Edited to correct typo
I don’t think you can buy extra cases, These are good for very soft stones as well. You do you have to buy the proper size though for a larger gem or they won’t snap shut.
This one is my favorite gem jar. It is easy to open. There is a box for them at http://www.neuheuser-gmbh.de/en/. I am checking where I can find the lowest price for the gem jar and the box.
I don’t like the round ones. They break easily. The white one with the glass lid is very secure but very hard to open.

This is a photo I borrowed from the internet.
Does anyone know where to buy the case/drawer that fits the gem jars?
These gem jars recommended by TL is good for cabs and thick stones coins and specimen
