I''m wondering which active member has the lowest member ID on PS, excluding admin (obviously they would have the lowest numbers).

Mine is 10442 and I joined 11/2/04.

I don''t think admin actually has the lowest because they are new too!

I just checked on someone''s who joined in 2002 and her''s is ID 601. Is it safe to name call this person or is that against the rules?

There are vendors and appraisers that have been here since 2000, they have member ID's in the single digits.

I can tell you, having been here to help with the site from the beginning, that there was a switch in software and the date we "joined" is not quite right. I believe it got backdated a bit. I somehow got displaced by Leonid to a lower number than I had with the original software I think, but no matter. I was here before a number of the top 10, but I can say that a number of people were "sucked in" to contribute to the site at the same time.

Good question Alistra.

Total registered users is at 30,579.

Total online users is 2484. As of right now....

To answer DF, I would imagine there are way more rough rocks, cut rocks than there are Ideal rocks. Thinking of all those that come here ask questions and then leave.... Ideal rocks tend to stick around a bit more. Hard to say...

I am more interested in hearing an anecdotal history of the early days than in hearing about the numbers, lawmax. Tell me a story about the days when Leonid was just setting up the site and you were helping. I was "around", of course, but I wasn't here. I used to see you and Leonid when you visited other places on the 'net. I'd like to know the story of the beginnings of this site!
