Hi all,
recently i posted the topic on the M diamond i want to purchase. the M diamond was for 6k and i thought the jeweler was lying tt stocks fly off... so i decided to wait around... ... BUT it was SOLD!!!
So i asked them if they had any more, they had but are all I1 I2 stones with visible inclusions.
now i chance across another diamond from another dealer. What u all think???
Carat: 2.48
Color: N
Clarity: VVS1
Cut: VG/VG/VG
Table: 62%
Depth: 59.3%
Crown angle: 34.5
Pavillon angle: 41.2
$11.5K (5-6k more than M)
I want to purchase it and wonder what setting can help with the color.
Theory 1: The diamond "takes on" the color of the band in which it is set. In other words, place the diamond in a platinum or white gold setting, and it will face up whiter than putting it in a yellow gold setting
Theory 2: Use contrast to your advantage. Place the diamond in a yellow gold setting and it will seem quite white by comparison to the gold. Place the same diamond in a white gold/platinum setting and it will appear more yellow in comparison to the white metal around it.
Help please....thanks.
