Very pretty design!

Thanks, DS! I'm not sure the stones are PS quality at I, Si2, uncerted cut, but you'd never know to look at them - they are white and sparkly, and the price was right for everyday drops.

I'm going to England next week, and the question weighing on my mind is whether I buy those flower diamond drop earrings that I so love for 1495 pounds! (About 2.3k, not sure if you remember my post about them a few weeks ago but they are gorgeous and if I got them, my lifetime collection of diamond drops would be complete!)

I bought them two weeks ago, then returned them They are beautiful so I may go back for them. They are fairytale princess earrings which just don't fit in my lifestyle and cost way more than I'm comfortable spending on something I can't wear at least weekly. They are 3.50 ctw I SI1. Here's a pic:

Woofmama, those earrings are just amazing! And I love the way you call them fairytale earrings. If you adore them, I think you should have them. You'll always remember them, and might kick yourself in the future for not getting them. Prices aren't going down any time soon!

I have a similar dilemma. My ultimate dressy diamond drops are in England, and I'm going there this week. They are very expensive and dressy, I've nowhere to wear them, but I could afford them and they are to die for.

I'm not so sure it really matters if you can't wear them lots. It's about POSSESSION! I also bought a very dressy diamond and aquamarine necklace that is difficult to wear much, but I can honestly say I don't care. It's MINE, and I love that. If I'm feeling down, I get it out and look at it, hold it, watch it sparkle, and it makes me feel a bit better. And surely you will wear them over your lifetime. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day.

Failing that, wear them in the bath like Princess Margaret wearing her jewels in the bath. Put your hair up, light the candles, sip on a glass of your favourite poison, I mean why not. You only live once.

Thanks Marcy! I have become quite taken with dangle earrings lately. I think the movement can be very flattering to the face, somehow - maybe because they're very feminine. I've got a smallish face though, so I can't wear large dangles.

There is a pair of gold Tiffany dangles which I love, but they are plain metal with no stones at all and cost $1,000 plus tax, which I just feel I can't justify for metal only.

I only have a few dangle earrings but really like them. I agree that they are very flattering to the face. $1000 for metal only dangles seems a bit high to me too. P

I think I will dig out dangle earrings to wear tomorrow.
