I have made a 30-day purchase on a beautiful Marquise loose stone. Frankly, the stone weights 2.27ct but does not "look" as though it is more than 2 carats? Here are specs, and I would greatly appreciate all opinions. When I look the specs up via links from this website, it appears it might fall in the ''2B'' range, based on table. Anyway, here are specs....but I can''t figure out where all the size of this stone has gone considering it is 2.27 carat...unless my eyes have become accustomed to 2ct+ stones and now I "think" my 2.27 should look more like 4ct....lol!

Did I get a "good buy?" I am worried.

An "ideal" depth for a marquise is somewhere from 59 to 63%. So yours is a little deep. And you are losing some face up size with the girdle being very thick in places. But marquise diamonds don't play by the rules so you've got to see them to know if they will be beautiful or not. Marquise face up large for their weight so generally they look bigger than they are, not smaller. As a comparison, my 2.00 carat's dimensions are 13.09x6.59x4.17. Price seems to be in line with similar diamonds. It is rare to find a marquise with excellent polish and a VG symmetry so that is very nice. It is also what I would consider to be almost perfect in terms of lenght to width ration. Not too fat and not too skinny. Is it eye clean? And please post a pic, I love to see marquise!
