I ended up purchasing one of his blue sapphires. His pictures closely match what I see in hand. He was also able to find a ruby for me, and always, is a pleasure to work with. He is such a kind and decent person! Here are his pics:

Indoors, with the second photo (albeit blurry) displaying very closely the color my eye's see indoors in most lighting.

RTFrog: your pictures are all over the map regarding color for each of the stones. Can you tell us what photos are most representative for color? Like there were some photos where the spinel (I assume it was the spinel) look purple. Is it purple or pink, or does it shift back and forth?

Chrono: No problem, I'll bring the flowers Taking pictures of beautiful gems and jewelry is a joy in itself, and I think it would be fun.

MinousBijoux: I guarantee that the stone is pink, was just trying to show the differences in light. Direct sunlight, to the shade in the apples, really shows how each stone changes. Here's a couple (some aren't so good) just to show the differences in shadows. The spinel really picks up surrounding colors, is very responsive, and disperses, refracts, and responds to colors the same as rose/white/yellow gold change things. One of my favorites is how well it reflects the sky.

The two white flower pictures really show a true color, white different backgrounds. The one reflecting the sky is also the true color of the stone, as it was sitting in indirect sunlight without me blocking too much of it. The one in my hand looks more pale because I put that one in direct sunlight. Hope this answers the question!

Sure! I really love the color, it holds up incredibly well even in low lighting indoors!

Clarity Vs1 very clean
Cut: Native Cushion
Color: fine royal blue
Treatment: Basic heat only

Dana is pretty good about responding to sale transactions, so if you have not heard back from him having purchased something, I would contact the website again. It could be that he is overwhelmed by the volume of items, but even so, he is very respectful of his customers and I'd be surprised if he did not reply. HTH.

Yes! It's supposed to go out today I'm trying not to get too excited since I'm not sure it'll be just what I wanted, but I'm antsy nonetheless. If Boerumbiddy sees this, I'd love to hear more about her stone. How does it look in the daylight?
