Ahhhh, sooooo pretty!!! I don''t know what it is, maybe just the magic of YOUR dress on YOU, but it definitely looks better than the sample!!! And you know how much I love strapless, slim fitting lace overlay dresses!!
I have determined through careful study of the two sets of pictures, and a few other "clues" that the sample I had on for those pictures was NOT the same size as my dress. It was at least a size smaller. It was also Ivory.
The first sample I tried on of my dress was DEFINITELY a size 10, (the size of my dress) and it definitey was white. This was in Early November of last year (WOW .. I''ve been engaged a LONG TIME!) However, those of you who have been around awhile will remember that I originally "found" my dress on a manequin in the mall where I work. The dress remained on the manequin for at least the first time I tried on the dress, so two samples of my gown existed. I remember they told me that the one on the manequin was Ivory.
See where this is going? When I went back to take the pictures, it was right after christmas, the dress in the mall window had changed... so there had to have been two dresses in the store..but that never occured to me at the time.. The dress was REALLY tight that day, and I remember being bummed cuz I thought I''d gained SOOO much weight from all the christmas cookies! And that was also the day I found my veil, and I remember noting that the veil looked really white next to my dress.. I am really bad at telling white and Ivory apart.. so none of this occured to me at the time
Went back.. i don''t know.. it had to be March or April? I don''t know it was when my bridesmaid that goes to Law school was home on spring break.. and all of a sudden the dress was not tight on me again... maybe even a little big! So that was when it occured to me that they might have been different dresses, but I was never sure.. But now that I look at the pictures.. I''m positive. The two dresses fit completely differently (while they both"fit").. and it all kind of makes sense with the color difference. I''m not sure what size the sample was, since everyone in the dress shop just keeps saying the sample of the dress was a 10.. not acknowledging that there was two dresses.. but i''d guess an 8
