Meet Ophelia - 3.77ct OP VS1 OEC in reproduction Georgian collet setting

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! I love it!! i love it so much... I cant believe the timing of you posting this because I actually have DK making me a Georgian collet reproduction bracelet right now!

Gasp! Faint! Gorgeous diamond but with that setting? Chefs kiss.
Thanks! The setting is the cherry on top :)

Ooh can’t wait to see your bracelet!!

Gorgeous!! Your whole collection is, and Ophelia is such a good fit to the family.

Oh my. Love this! You don’t usually see these with melee on the sides, right? So cool and stunning!

Thank you!

Thanks! Tbh I would’ve preferred it without the melee on the sides (it just looks cleaner to me, the shank would be slightly narrower and the whole focus is on the centre stone) but it doesn’t bug me enough to reset it :lol-2:

Wow! stunning! :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2:

love it!

this ring is stunning! Are you able to share a profile view? Does it sit flush? It’s so lovely

And @lulu_ma @Dreamer_D as you asked as well, here are some side shots!

It doesn’t sit flush with anything due to the setting being so low and wide on the finger.

I haven’t worn Ophelia in a while and loved putting her on today. The low setting is really comfortable and the finger presence with the collet is always welcome haha.

Can’t remember if I mentioned - she came with the sizing band already attached and it fits me perfectly. It also has some flexibility so is accommodating when my fingers swell slightly.

Took some glamour shots too whilst I had Ophelia out. I don’t think I’ve posted close-up photos of her faceting before (and was surprised by how good the iPhone’s inbuilt macro feature is!).

Plus one unglamorous shot, as I’ve mentioned before that she isn’t cut perfectly and is a shallow stone:

Love love love seeing Ophelia and I was just going to ask you about the swelling. How wonderful that it has an in built sizing band and can accommodate slightly swollen fingers. I love the macro lens hahaha sometimes when I take videos or photos of my rings I am always reminded that I should clean my rings first haha.
P.s I really love the collet setting. And those tiny diamond accents are such a nice surprise too.

Thanks! It’s the first time I’ve seen the single cut melee in such detail, my eyes don’t really register them usually.

Haha, I gave her a good old scrub before taking photos today. Makes such a big difference esp in close-ups!

That is really a perfect Colette setting. Often they have tall gold donut that I don’t care for aesthetically, but this angled Colette and very thin gold donut with airline is perfection.

I love everything about this ring and it has history.

Thanks for the additional pics @Pomelo . Love all of Ophelia's details!

Thank you. I honestly didn’t pay much attention to different colette settings, and was just lucky that this one is so comfy!

I guess with taller donuts, it allows for more stacking options? Ophelia doesn’t play well with others.

And, just thinking about it (and not being able to find the answer via a quick Google): could it be that engagement rings and wedding bands weren’t really a thing during the Georgian era? Therefore ring settings didn’t need to take stacking / a wedding band into account…

Took some photos of stacking Ophelia - personally I prefer wearing her by herself but thought it’d be fun to document!

Tried her on with:
1. Dior Bois de Rose RG band with tiny diamond “thorns”, the curve in this band meant it sits around the collet
2. Jessica McCormack 18ct YG bamboo band. This band slid under the collet and disappears once I move my hands
3. For fun - 18-19pt D VS/SI three quarter eternity band. I tried to capture the colour difference between Ophelia’s OP and the D of the eternity band.

She’s definitely an independent woman!

She literally looks like a star that's risen in the sky with that mounting! Oxidizing it was genius. You have fabulous taste. Love!
