Well, I come to PS for answers to questions about jewelry... so why not about fashion?!?!

For those of you who have seen The Women, the new ensemble film with Meg Ryan, Annette Benning, Debra Messing, et al...

I am dying to find out who designed the coat that Ryan''s character was wearing when she confronted Benning''s character on the street about talking to her daughter. It was an empire-ish waist, double breasted, mid-thigh length, 3/4 sleeve creation of to-die-for fashion and I must have it!

If you know anything about the designer and where it can be had, I will be eternally grateful!

I haven''t seen it, so I can''t help you. But, did you like the movie? Talk about a star studded cast!

I haven''t seen the movie either, but I LOVE the cast.

How was the movie? They shot some of it at a summer camp in my hometown, so I have to go just for that!

CDNinNYC - thanks for the lead. I''m hot on the trail!!

Ellen, Linda W, and Selkie -- I did like it. The characters were stereotypes -- the devoted wife who sacrifices for her successful husband, the Anna-Wintour-like editor, the mother-earth type with lots of kids, and the lipstick lesbian -- but it was fun to see all those great women on screen in one movie. For me, it wasn''t as good as Sex and The City, but I already had a relationship with those women, so to speak, so it''s not surprising. If you go with some friends (hubby didn''t want to go...shocker) and enjoy watching the cast and looking at pretty things, then you''ll probably enjoy it. The final scene in the hospital was a hoot!

I can''t wait to see this movie! My mom took me to the play years ago, and when it was all over, I looked at her and said "Wait a second...there weren''t any men on the stage, were there?!?!" I love how the male characters are portrayed so well through the re-telling of events in the dialogue. I heard the re-make got awful reviews, but my mom already went to see it and she says she''ll see it again in a heartbeat. Glad to hear another positive review!
