Since it’s a colored gem alongside a large diamond, I just wanted to get everyone’s thoughts on this ring. As always, I’m very adverse to any stone softer than an 8, being an engagement ring. I also don’t care for the prong work, which to me, should be of Leon Mege quality on a celebrity designer custom ring. However, I think it’s a pretty ring set and I like the idea of magnets holding them together. The stones are beautiful and it definitely is part of that “moi et toi” trend taking over celebrity engagement rings.

It's a very beautiful set in its simplicity and symbolism. At least the points and pointing downwards (less risk of banging and chipping off). I am going to presume the emerald is very clean, and thus should be no more at risk than any other beryl.

Not a fan of these two celebrities, but love the choice of ring design. Here’s a video of the ring.

I'd LOVE to see a video of this ring. It is magnetic, right? Or did I imagine that? I want to see the two pieces separately.

The video has a small video of this ring, but not from the gallery view.

The first thing I thought of when seeing it was, “that diamond is too close to the emerald, scratch hazard.” That’s the pragmatist in me though, lol.

I agree. Pretty as heck but the prongs are...not quite right.

I think the ring is elegant and beautiful. Unique yet classic.

I like it! I wonder how much that cost…

Unique but kind of awkward-looking, imo. Think threes, not twos -- isn't that the design rule?

I also think it is too fragile for everyday wear -- like even for wrestling a small bag into the overhead space on a plane. That is my go-to ring-ruining scenario.

This opinion is in the context of folks who have all the money in the world and can pretty much have any ring they want. If someone in my office had that, I would think it was absolutely amazing =)2.

Here ya go!

I find it much more appealing/interesting than plenty of the (awkward, clunky) toi et moi rings other celebrities have been sporting.

The concept is really cool. Practicality of the design? Not sure.
I'm curious what it would be like to actually wear it for any length of time. Is it comfortable and does it knock/catch on everything? The only thing that I immediately thought was the pave could be a nightmare to maintain if the ring sees anything close to normal wear. I personally wouldn't have any pave to avoid issues, in their case I don't think that's a consideration they need to worry about.

Honestly at first I really did not care for the ring- But I have seen it a lot popping up in my Instagram feed and everytime I see it I feel more and more inclined to it.

I’m like this, I really want to like it  but there’s something just so awkward or off about it.. I can’t place my finger on what exactly. I really want to like it!! It’s a CS ring!!

It’s like I like each individual component individually but all together.. somehow it doesn’t work.

I watched this video and I went down the rabbit hole reading about these two. Nobody seems to be making a parallel between them and Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thorton but it seems like an exact copy. Crazy wild about each other and drinking each other‘s blood. Regarding the ring it is pretty but I would probably use a different shape instead of both being pears. But then again it reminds me of one of Dolly‘s rings that I am totally in love with and want one day so that’s why I’m think use two different shapes.

It's not my personal aesthetic, but it's definitely the most interesting celebrity engagement ring I remember seeing in quite a while

The gap between the bands would bother me. Very pretty overall though.

The stones are beyond gorg.. the design? not my thing. The people wearing them? meh. BUT those stones? to die for. And brilliant craftsmanship, thats what I really appreciate about the piece.

I agree, for a normal person. But did you see her perfect fingernails? The perfection of those fingernails indicates to me that she never touches anything or does anything normal.

I agree with blingmeupscotty, the color of those stones are amazing! I think she will end up splitting up the rings to wear alone or together, which I think makes it more versatile. For some reason, the symmetry of the size, shape and cut of the stones makes this ring much more appealing to me than the recent trend of two very different stones on one ring.

I love the ring, it’s gorgeous

I think it’s visually interesting. Plus, that emerald is TDF.
I don’t care for the couple (there’s something about her that feels disingenuous to me) but they clearly match each other in weirdness.

I’m very interested in the whole magnet thing. I’d like to know how they did that without affecting the aesthetics of the design.

My favorite celeb ring is still JLO's pink diamond for when she was engaged to Ben Affleck. I will never forget seeing that gorgeous ring on her finger during an interview.

I still regularly fantasize about that ring... hands down, THE best celebrity diamond ever. She gave it back to him when they broke off the engagement. It was the right thing to do, but I would have been just fine with being oh so wrong to keep it. I still have a sneaking suspicion she got back with him just to get her hands on that rock again.

Who wouldn’t love a giant pink diamond?!!

An emerald set in a ring designed to cause pain when taken off??

I still haven’t gotten past the whole “two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love” thing.

Obscure? Reads like some Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way fanfic. And that’s if I’m being generous.

Still love the ring(s), though.
