I hope this is allowed here   If it needs to be moved please move it for me, I don't mean to break any rules!

Anyway, I mentioned in another thread that I was looking for a wedding band for myself but I figured I should make my own thread on it to garner a few more responses hopefully! You guys were a great help picking out my fiance's engagement ring and I thought perhaps you could help me too. :twirl:

So, I've been shopping online and in B&M stores to find a mans wedding band in Rose gold. I would ideally like it to have maybe a couple of diamonds/sapphires (Very small ones, like .2 carat?) in it to match my fiance's engagement rings motif but I don't know if they even make them like that. To be frank, most of the ones I've found online are just plain unappealing to my tastes. Does anyone here recommend a custom maker for wedding bands or an online store with a wide selection? I would be grateful

YAY, a man who wants a rose/pink wedding band :appl: (and yes, Rocky Talky is the right board for your query)

What do you think of a "scattered diamond" band like this:

Whiteflash offers this one from Benchmark, in either 3mm or 4mm widths:
http://www.whiteflash.com/wedding-rings/scattered-diamond-wedding-band-2606.htm
But there are a number of sources that offer variations on the theme, if you like the basic idea of some gypsy-set diamonds.

Do you have a target budget in mind, and do you need the band in the very near future?

My target budget for the ring is about 800 but I'm willing to go a little higher for something really special. Thank you so much for responding! I don't need it in the IMMEDIATE future, we're thinking about having the wedding in late October or early November so there's still some time. :D

That's not a bad piece, the only two things I'd like to see as well (Just because I haven't seen good examples of them yet from many vendors) would be bands that had diamonds AND design engravings on it. Here's an example of a design.

Not with THAT exact design, but a ring with a design on it and perhaps gems too :D. I'm looking for something that looks... "Cool" could I be more subjective or difficult? Probably not sorry...

I'd really like it if I could find a vendor that kinda' specializes in mens bands. So many of them are for women! Men like shiny sparkly things too!

* Here's a link to the portal page for the 800+ men's bands offered by Stuller:
http://www.stuller.com/browse/wedding-and-engagement/wedding-bands/men-s-bands
Filters are in the left-hand sidebar; under Metal Color, click on both Rose and Two Tone. The results pages that are created after you make your filter choices probably will show some of the bands in, say, yellow gold. But when you click through to the listing page for the band itself, the other metal options will be in a drop-down menu. You should be able to customize any band depicted with diamonds by replacing all/some of the diamonds with sapphires.

Stuller does not sell directly to the public, but nearly every jeweler here in the US has an account with Stuller & can place an order for you. Stuller's merchandise is typically a very good value: moderately priced, reliably manufactured, not flimsy, and often available for super speedy delivery. FYI, if you see a Stuller band you like, I suggest you shop around before placing an order; some jewelers charge more of a mark-up over the wholesale price than others.

* I'm thinking Boston-based Gemvara might have one or more bands that would appeal to you even tho' you might end purchasing a similar band elsewhere (I've seen some of Gemvara's rings with small inset sapphires & thought those were meh). Click on Customize By for the drop-down menu that enables you to select metal types and gemstones, if any.

Hope the bands on these pages help you refine your vision; let us know how else we could be of assistance.

Oh my goodness, the Stuller bands are EXCEPTIONAL!  . I'm gonna have fun looking through these, thank you so much!

So, I'm going to be purchasing the bands very shortly but another question has come up and I was hoping for some advice. I've been to four different jeweller's to get my ring finger sized and I've gotten...several different answers.

First Jeweller said my ring finger was 11-12, would recommend an 11.

For kicks I went to a second jeweller next door and they said it was a 12-12.5, would recommend a 12.5. Well, that was a huge discrepancy so I went home and I thought about it for a little.

Next day I went to a third Jeweller who said it was a 11.5-12 would recommend an 11.5.

Went to a fourth (Yes lots of jewellers around here and yes I'm a little paranoid.) and she said it was a 12-12.25 would recommend a 12.

I know my fingers swell when I walk around/exercise but now I don't know which size I should get. Each of these jewelers reinforced their recommendations with a finger sizer ring. And they all fit, are there different ring sizers? What should I look for?

Great thread topic, sorry to see it seems to be wrapping up (looks like you've made your decision already?).

In any case, for future readers, this is another vendor that I came across somewhere on PS a while ago:
http://www.boonerings.com/

For ring size, I would get a pair of calipers and measure the ID of a ring or ring sizer that fits. However, make sure that the width of the sample ring/ring sizer is similar to the band that you intend to purchase. Make at least 5 measurements to account for measurement error/precision, and to make sure the ring is not out-of-round.

Yeah I already made the decision, my fiance and I are getting a ring from Gemvara. It's GORGEOUS! Rose gold and studded with diamonds and sapphires  . I just wanted to know the best way to make sure that my finger measurement will be appropriate.

Unfortunately ring sizers are not standardized. Best to use the sizers from the store that you are buying from and go with that. Even online stores will have a way to measure your finger to their sizer size. Worse comes to worse, at least you are buying a gold right so it should be resizable.

There is a thread dedicated to mens bands, Check it out: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/mens-bling-eyecandy-folder.116617/
