I'm loving my Tiffany Somerset mesh ring (sterling silver, no diamonds)! I ordered the 8, and because it was a little loose, the sales associate suggested I try the 7. The ring does not come in half sizes unfortunately. I've been wearing the 8 and most of the time, it is indeed a little loose. That's in my cold office though, and we haven't hit the hot, humid NC summer yet. It's not loose to where I fear it will fall off though (unless I violently shook my hand like a crazy person). One day it was pretty warm and it felt snug for just a little while when I was hot (busy doing errands and my hands were very warm).

I just got the 7 in the mail and it is snug. Not super tight but very "fitted". I don't know how much this ring will stretch over time. If the 8 stretches a lot, it will be too big. If the 7 ends up not stretching at least a half size, I think it will be too snug when it's really hot out and my fingers swell.

What to do???? URRRRGGGHHH!

I'd keep the larger size. In fact, I wish mine was larger. I just hate feeling a ring on my finger, and combine that with humid, swollen fingers...yuck! Though some say they do, my Tiffany mesh ring never stretched. Some day I'll have to bite the bullet and buy another mesh ring in a larger size....I so wish I could just exchange!

lewood, thank you SO much. That's the way I'm leaning. I hate sausage fingers because of tight rings! My wedding band is loose too and I love it that way. I've just been so worried this ring will stretch, but I hear differing opinions on that. I really appreciate your input!

No problem! Go with your gut and what is most comfortable. It seems as if the 8 will be best for you. And, by the way, the ring looks divine on you! I saw a picture of it in another thread :twirl:

Thanks so much - I really really love this ring! :-)

Mine never stretched katiedid. I would keep the 8.

Thank you misskittycat! These posts are so helpful and make me comfortable keeping the 8! I'm sending the 7 back today. :-)

Mine never stretched! Definitely keep the bigger size!

Ahhhh thank you lizzyann!

There is literally no way on earth the micro-infinitesimal swelling of human flesh is going to warp metal - the size you wear will stay the size you wear. Much likelier that long-time wearers had their *fingers* adapt to the ring than the other way around - ever notice how, say, a wedding set can leave an indentation even after you take it off?

I think you could maybe take the 7 to a jeweler and have them gently force it onto the mandrel - it would flatten the rings of the mesh a little, but there should be some give. That said, NO idea how that would affect the wearability/flexibility of the ring. I'd advice going with the bigger size, I think ....

Great points Circe. thx!
