MESSAGE FROM WHITEFLASH

I just received a message from Lesley moments ago in Email and got one last night from John saying they were all going to be out of harms way.

Keep your hearts and heads in it for everyone in the wake of this storm. Im watching it on NOAA and the winds have slowed, and pressure has dropped, it''''s still Cat5 but it''''s apparently very hard for a Cat 5 to stay that way for too long. Let''''s hope it goes back down before Landfall.

Thank goodness I have a connection the DSL keeps fading out!!

Please tell all our Pricescope friends that we are safe. Operations will run as smoothly as can be expected and we will give you updates, probably on Pscope.

Thanks so much for posting that update Ame. I have a project at Whiteflash right now that was to be shipped on Friday. I just hope they stay safe and that this storm weakens dramatically over the next 48 hrs.

It seems to have lost some steam, but it''s still cat5. I really hope it just wobbles and falls apart. It''s already wobbling in it''s course.

You have to admire them for trying to keep their business up and running during all this chaos.

I think if it were me, I''d have packed up the diamonds and hit the road a few days ago!

That would be the best. Just let it fall apart out there before it comes ashore!! Then everyone can go back home. My DH has numerous (too many to count) relatives in the southeast Texas, Louisiana area. They are all evacuating. I think they''ll be safe, just pray their homes are there for them to go back to!

I just spoke with John for a while for another update, and boy I gotta agree. They have it down and will do whatever it takes to make everyone happy, even in the wake of a Cat5 hurricane! I don't know ANYONE with that kind of determination and work ethic.

I just got a phone call from Denise at Whiteflash. What a sweetheart. She''s working, as I type, e-mailing me a photo of the wax of my pendant! Unbelievable! I told her that I could wait; she should do whatever she needs to do to get safe! (She said she''ll be leaving later tonight, once the traffic subsides. Right now, the roads are parking lots and she said she would rather be doing something.) She also said that Whiteflash has taken all the precautions and pre-emptive moves necessary to keep their business up and running. They are amazing folks and I am praying for them all!!

By the way, anyone down that way who still has internet access, would do well to get to their bank or to an ATM machine to withdraw some cash. Once the power goes down, ATM cards won''t work!

Has anyone else noticed that Whiteflash has been forced to vacate its premises almost immediately after Mara and Al's visit there? I am not implying that a causal relationship exists, but I cannot help but notice the phenomenon. If I owned a diamond business and was expecting Al and Mara, I would keep an eye on the weather just to see if any correlation between them and monster storms might exist.

Yeah....that''s it....that''s the ticket. Mara and I are single-handedly responsible for all the world''s ills. We are SO powerful, we even control weather patterns. Don''t tick us off, or we may have to send a tornado someone''s way for good measure.

If I had *half* of the powers that some folks think I had, I''d rule the world, I swear.

If this was supposed to be funny, Deb, it missed the mark.....in a big way.

What a nice thought, though......to think that we would actually even WANT to inflict such calamity and distress on folks we consider friends. How nice.
