Not yellow gold...maybe rose gold?
I feel like a white metal would wash out the color too much.
Rose gold gets my vote too.

Rose gold but I don't know enough about the 14K vs 18K as I have forgotten but there is a big difference and one would look better than the other. I seem to think @yssie created an entire thread on this topic so maybe search her posts or she will chime in here to give you good advice. Pretty stone whatever you end up doing with it I am sure it will be just beautiful

Rose Gold (Show me your 14k vs. 18k or explain the diff!)
I'm working with ERD trying to explain the tone of rose gold I want. This is their 18k rose gold: This is the tone I want: They are more than happy to work with me to get the right blend of alloys to achieve the colour I want, but I was hoping some of you who have had rose gold pieces...www.pricescope.com
14K vs. 18K rose gold
Hi, everyone. Been heavily lurking for months but finally joined in order to ask a few burning questions. :) First up: I'm looking into a rose gold setting and I understand there is typically a color difference between 18K rose gold and 14K rose gold. Does anyone have any side-by-side pictures...www.pricescope.com
18k vs 14k rose gold for an eternity ring?
Any thoughts on 14k vs 18k rose gold for an eternity ring? I was hoping to get one made in 14k because pictures where I have seen the two compared the 14k looks pinker. Any thoughts? Also what is the normal price difference between the two? I emailed BGD about whether they could make their Kyla...www.pricescope.com
I vote RG too.
I recently have a new ring in very light & subtle RG, very pretty color
I'd do 14kt RG, so that you get a really nice and coppery colour going. Or a two toned setting - WG and RG (if you want no accent stones, perhaps something like a double bezel setting, where the inner bezel is RG and the outer is WG?)
I think white metal would better highlight the color of the CS whereas RG would merge with the stone, so I would set the stone in white metal and have a RG shank.
I have a secret, I usually don't care for plated white metals. Platinum doesn't do much for me either.
But, for this stone, I would suggest an unplated white or palladium white gold.
A soft colored formulation of rose would be my second.
Grey gold would be a fun way to pop the color, as well.
You've got options!
White gold. I think the delicate color would be lost in yellow and rose gold.
Instead of guessing, do you have any white, yellow or rose gold jewelry?
Just place it next to the metal and see where it shines. I actually think rose gold could overpower the softer color but it just depends on how the stone behaves
Actually switching gears and leaning toward unplated white gold now
That would show off the color to its best advantage.
Yeah I do I just have no eye for colors or design whatsover so it's hard for me to tell. I am starting to think though that rose gold is not probably the best option for it and leaning toward sticking with white.
