Metal halo or subtle illusion settings

I've always adored the classic Tiffany setting but am also really into solitaire settings that have a VERY SLIGHT metal edging/halo without diamonds-- almost a subtle illusion setting. I don't know if there is a specific name for this look. I've gathered some pics from PS and the Tacori Dantela for inspiration. The Dantela has diamonds but I like how the surrounding metal makes the round stone appear as a cushion. The cVb Dahlia is lovely but I have a less floral look in mind.

I would love to see other settings that have that micro-metal halo/delicate illusion setting effect!

I have always liked this look but its a more antique look...fake bezel. Works great for old stones that may have thin or damaged girdles. Helps prevent
further damage.

I believe this style is referred to, my some, as a “lip” halo. No bling, delicate, and thin metal surrounding the circumference of the diamond...just a little bit extra for more finger coverage. Varying styles to fit everyone’s tastes & lifestyles. The examples above are all beautiful! I prefer this look, and air line halos over the typical halo style; I find typical halos appear too cluttered, and busy. I love to focus on the center stone, and I prefer defined lines over clusters.

This one is a halo/illusion without stones, it's my favourite.
Yes! This is indeed on my bucket list!

Love this one!

I want. to bump this! I am hunting for setting styles like this - anyone have some to add?

Are they...called something specific?

not sure which of the ones pictured are what you are looking for. I would generally call them faux bezels but you may want more metal showing. I have two that I'd call faux bezels and also the one I posted above. Not solitaires below but basically the same idea

Thank you! Both of these are gorgeous.I especially love the milgrain

I found these earrings, that I adore, I especially like the "cushiony" outline...but haven't been able to find something quite like them in a ring...and the pictures aren't the best to figure out the design

Iooking down on them I'd still call them a sort of faux bezel. You'd just have to try to get someone to do a CAC to replicate them.

Do you have a thread for your 3-stone perchance? Curious about the gallery!

@Cerulean What are you plotting? Are you going to keep it a three stone, or want to go a solitaire route? Bezel or metal halo with prongs?

I feel like we are on the same wavelength. I love bezels, and simple, but feminine designs… I went to solitaire from a three stone, but now also contemplating another potential change lol

I apologize if I missed the mark here but I think this may be an example of what you’re looking for. F2AB06AA-E94D-4ACA-9AB2-C16A767E312F.jpegC7A3797E-E55E-47D1-BC44-97FB3D2D017F.png

I really love this! Reminds me so much of CvB’s Dahlia at first glance! Outside of DK, I haven’t seen anyone that could make this profile this subtle and sleek.

I am really struggling to figure out the gallery though to get that cushiony look!

victor-barbone-jewelry-11220300229_1800x1800.jpeg

@Cerulean I really like the last gallery you posted and love the compass prong look.
Anything on the shoulders? Are you adding a metal halo or are you leaving your girdle exposed?

I'm resetting my stone as well... with CvB this time. I'm not going to risk doing this alone anymore. I need some serious designer help to ensure that this is my last reset.... because I've had way too many of them in just one year (facepalm)

I'm going to do a really delicate bezel, or a very delicate faux bezel with compass prongs and also with kite set French cuts on the shoulders.

I actually recommend that you reach out to Caysie as well. I think she will get your idea and take it to the next level. I know there were some communication concerns here, but maybe things have changed... she's been absolutely wonderful to work with so far, super responsive...
