I don''t post here much, but I don''t know where else to turn! I figured you girls would understand my concerns and even (maybe?) reassure me.

My photographer is amazing. I am a wedding photographer myself, so I was very picky in choosing a photographer and picked on of the (imho) best in our area. Because she is so amazing, she does many weddings per month. I didn''t realize how much she works until after we booked her over a year ago. Granted, I think her business has picked up a lot since we booked her, so I wasn''t about to expect what has transpired.

We are getting married on a Sunday. Our photographer has booked other weddings on the Friday and Saturday of that SAME weekend. So, we are the third and the last wedding she will be photographing in one weekend. Not only that, but the wedding she is photographing the night before ours is way on the other side of the state! Texas is a big state. This means that she probably won''t get home until early Sunday morning --- enough time to rest up for our wedding? Probably not!

I think the reasons I am panicing is because
1) Pictures are VERY important to me ... pretty much the most important thing.
2) I KNOW how much work it is photographing a wedding. At the end of the night you are exhausted!

Ahhh! Am I being crazy here?

have you discussed your concerns with her? I assume you found out about her other bookings from your photographer?

(I''m sorry that you''re stressed about this!)

I haven''t discussed it with her yet. Not sure what to say...

I found out because she posts her schedule on her website. I just took a look and my jaw dropped!

Wow, not cool in my book. I think she had a responsibility not to book a wedding so far away the night before yours (assuming she booked yours first). What happens if her flight is cancelled? Or her travel plans upset? I think it was a really bad move to be totally honest. I am not so sure about the booking three in a row, she may be super fit and totally capable of shooting three in one weekend. It''s the distance that I am concerned about.

I would call her and have a chat about it openly and honestly. What are her backup plans should she not make it back in time? There has to be some sort of contingency plan in place I think.

Good luck!!!

Definitely talk with her. I''m sure she has a logical reason and can put your mind at rest. For example my daughter only hired the photographer for early in the day, getting ready, church and some family shots before the reception... it was less expensive that way. Perhaps the Saturday wedding is the same. She may be finished by 4:30 and on her way home? Maybe her associate who works under her name is doing that other wedding? You just never know... and at least you will be able to not worry so much about it.

This was a question I asked the photographers I interviewed. I didn''t want somone who did more than 1 wedding per weekend for the same reason. Many photographers will do weddings night after night - if they are professional, they should be able to handle it.
