Mint stones

Very beautiful - the colour is not too light at all (almost bordering what some vendors call tsavorite - but not our usual recommended ones though) and the blue tint is clearly there. I can tell that you photographed it as it is, no fancy lighting (not that there's anything you can work with where you are  ) and no fancy methodology and all, and it still came out looking great. What a sparkler too. Gotta love garnets.

Halos can deepen the tone and perceived saturation slightly. Bringing out the blue (or not), depends on the metal used, or if you choose to use coloured stone melees in your halo, this will play a role in highlighting it or dampening it. A rose gold metal or rosy (even purplish) melees will bring out the blue.

Ark - please adopt me and let me play with the first Mint Garnet you posted? The photos (especially in diffused light) look just breathtaking. You have just a good eye.

What wonderful settings do you envisage because I know they won't be anything other than unique and sensational!

Chrono, I am not sure that it looks like a tsavorite of my favorite color, I think I just do not know how to capture the color. Obviously, I do not photoshop or edit photos of my gems, simply because they may end up looking worse. The only thing I plan to do is install sources of diffused light in my office. And where I am now, the forecast is 53/showers. (:

Thank you very much for your advises about setting the stone. I never knew why "rose gold", but rose it will be, and if light-purple irradiated diamonds are still available, it will be a good match.

LD, does adopting you mean becoming mother-in-law to Barrett? :) And seriously, thank you for your support, and your kindness, and your taste, and your beautiful collection. I shall try to make something different from my usual settings.
