Mitzi Perdue donates emerald ring

Wonderful story all around!

IIRC I read elsewhere that Sotheby's estimate is 60 to 70K.
But since the proceeds go to Ukraine assistance, I expect/hope it fetches far more and that Sotheby's also donates their share.

... and kudos to Perdue for this quote ...

"It occurred to me that there are other people who have either jewelry, or possibly works of art, that they would put up to help Ukraine.
Very often, wealthy people have things that are in storage—they have things of great value that could be used to benefit Ukraine.
I would personally adore it if other people got the chance to have the same satisfaction that I'm getting from knowing that this ring will have humanitarian help."

I would think due to the history that it would go for way more than $60k-$70K (besides the fact that it is to raise money
for Ukraine).

I hope it does really well at action! I applaud Mitzi Perdue!

@monarch64 I was just reading an article in the NY Times this morning about this, and was going to share it here, but you beat me to it!
