Montepuezo ruby?

JTV is hawking these right now. They are supposedly untreated, and the commentators are comparing them to Burma rubies. What is the deal? Many of them look quite opaque and are cut really shallowly. Is this deposit producing any quality stones?

Montepuez is in Mozambique, and yes the country is producing some really nice rubies right now. Of course, every quality is being mined from the exceptionnal to the low grade (for glass filling).
