Moonstone ?

I would like to find a large gem quality blue moonstone. (sugarloaf or cab). I would be happy with a vintage ring or stone or to buy new but I am not sure where to look. Any ideas?

Can it be clear with a little blue or does it have to have lots of blue? Just curious.

There is a pinned thread at the top of this page that has all the trusted vendors listed. Barry is a reputable and very highly regarded precision cutter and vendor of colored stones. It is definitely worth reaching out to Barry to see if he has any more rough to cut. What is the size you seek?

I would request a hand shot because a black background amps up the blue sheen like nobody's business. A hand shot will show you it's true strength and distribution.

I guess 5 + carats. cocktail size. (20 to 25mm long by 10 to 25 wide). fat oval or squarish oval/cushion
