More beautiful asschers!!!

I liked the J best, then the H. Since the J won't work in your setting, and I know you would prefer a higher color, go for the H.

You'll have this diamond for a while, and you will forget about the price. But, you'll see the sparkle every time you wear it, so go for the stone that appeals to your eye the most. That's why I like diamonds. The sparkle and patterning is entertaining and pleasing. :))

Looking forward to seeing your decision. (And, trying to figure out why I suddenly "need" a 1.15 ct J Asscher diamond.)

Enerchi...yes, Jon did seem to think the H was the best, and I really do value his opinion! Thanks!

Greg...I think you are probably right. I am a little on the color sensitive side so H is probably a safe zone for me plus the cut is just superior on that stone. My budget is not a problem other than I am hoping to get an AVR eventually and I don't want to spend too much on other things so I will have the money for that when one comes along! I know you got an asscher this size, too, so I am glad you chimed in!

I edited the last post a few times and now read your last post. So here is some more Opinions of mine- hehehe.
If your ultimate goal is to have an Avc, in the same setting as this, then I would reconsider the diamond. If in another setting and the AVC would trump the asscher in real estate time on your fingers, I would get the I.

My favourites are the first two from the left, and I can't really pick which I like better. I watched the video with the sound off, so that's just what my eyes are telling me!

And now that I read the whole thing... The H is very nice, but does it have issues in that dark box midway between table and girdle?

Also, I am not a fan of 1.00ct stones, for value. Can a stone under 1ct fit?

Dreamer, I had been watching a stone that was .99 and someone who posted here a week or so ago bought it!!! But I have to have at least 5.5mm and as you know, .99's are extremely rare! Jon did the search based on my minimum requirements so all the stones turned up around 1.03-1.05 or so. I got the impression that the H was best and no asschers are solid red and blue on an ASET, so if you look at it's link that I posted a couple of posts up, you'll see that it has a pretty ASET . It kills me that it is over $1k more than the I color one which was number 1, though! The h is a safe choice but I wonder in a stone that small if I could really tell much difference between the h and the I???

That j stone is gorgeous and someone should grab it! This is about the best selection of 4 asschers that I have seen! Too bad it won't fit!

No, this setting is a right hand ring and the AVR will replace my engagement ring if I ever find one the right size and color! The AVR would be worn far more than the asscher. It is a tough decision! But Jon is going to compare the h and I colors tomorrow in the daylight and see if you can notice the color difference.

Look forward to seeing the video!!! Sorry for not understanding the difference for the RHR and the e ring; also getting the AVR and the AVC mixed up.
Edit- I think these early morning wake ups are getting to me.

No problem, Greg! I am sure it was my fault for not being clear! I am a night owl and definitely not an early morning person either!!!

DS I'm so excited to see this ring. I was also considering the Beaudry settings at Pearlmans when making the decision on how to set my ec. I'm pretty I know which one you must have. With any of the stones Jon picked it will be stunning. The H seems a perfect fit for you. Looking forward to seeing your ring!
Gosh I would love to grab that J-someone on here should get it :naughty:

Thanks! I had already bought two settings and one day this one appeared! It apparently had been purchased and returned at some point and never made it back on the website. It was lucky for me because I don't think it would have made it to the final markdowns otherwise! I was able to get 3 settings with 3 different shape center stones. The other 2 will have colored stones but this one had to have a diamond because it has some colored stones in it.

ok- where is the video, already!!!! i am getting asscher anxiety syndrome here!!!!

Thanks for your interest, Greg! I,too, have been checking for the video as we travel home, but I am guessing maybe Jonathan was just too swamped to do it today! As much as I enjoy the videos, I really think the H stone is the best choice and I will probably just go ahead and order it in the morning. If it comes Wed., I'll attempt to take some shots myself in natural lighting and post them on the thread. It will be exciting to join the asscher club as I think it is one of the most beautiful diamond cuts!

Yay. THe H is beautiful. the proportions are better for your setting- less tweeking needed than the I.

help in your justification :cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky:

1) it is your (only) RHR and you want it to Bling in an asscher kind of way   my kind
2) AVR in your parameters are going to be hard to find as you have stated, so it may be a while longer to get. this means time that you can save up more for it when it does come
3) the time is right NOW. :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl:

happy xmas and anniversary from down under....

cant wait to see the diamond and the setting- the finished product...in time of course!

Thank you so much, Greg! :)) I agree that we have to buy the great stones when they come along, and I don't think I could find a better asscher (other than going up in color)! I think H will be fine for the setting I am using, though. And like you say, I will have time to save for the AVR and I may sell the rb I have now, too!
