Movin' in....

So, BF asked me this weekend to move in with him and gave me a key. SO... I gave my notice and I'll be moving in! I told myself that I wouldn't live with someone before I was engaged, but this just feels right. And I'm not feeling pressure to do it, and he gave me the lines that he "wants to provide" for me (which is funny as I make a lot more money than he does). So we'll be saving money living together and we'll be buying a house hopefully in the next 6 months (I've been looking for over a year now!). My plan is still to propose to him at the end of August, he keeps telling me that I won't, boy is he in for a suprise.

YAY! That is awesome. Congrats on moving in! I also did not want to move in with anyone until i was at least engaged, but i moved in with DBF after 4 months of dating. We have been living together 8 months now and it was the BEST decision i have ever made!

Def have to keep us updated on the proposal too! Have you started writing the letters yet??

I am so much like both you. I always said the same thing; that I'd never move in with a guy (again) without a ring on my finger. And like LoveLikeCrazy, I moved in with my guy after four months, too (but knowing each other for a year). It certainly felt right; he told me that when he was getting a place with his ex, he knew deep down that it was a bad idea, but went with it anyway. He said deciding to get a place with me, he didn't feel that way at all. And yes, it's been the best decision we've made.

Good luck with the proposal; I hope everything is coming together nicely for you. And yes, he will certainly be surprised!!!

Congrats! I love the living together step. It really shows how strong you are. Andrew is moving in this month, officially anyway. He honestly hasn't spent a night at his place since....September? October? So we were unofficially living together (he had a key and everything) from about 3 months in. Our 1 year anniversary is this Saturday and he's officially moving in! We agreed that being engaged by the end of our first official year of living together was a good timeline (barring something unexpected coming up...our communication is wide open so if something does change, we'll both be in the know about it).

Congrats on moving in! I swear the moving in part is the worst or the best! Learning to live with each other's habits is sooo different when it's both your place rather than you or him spending the night! I hope it strengthens your relationship!

THANKS GUYS!!! It's funny because at first I was not sure how I felt about it, but I had said yes in the moment... Now, I'm over the mood! We are having so much fun (he just recently moved in himself), painting and decorating and cooking together, watching moves and TV shows! It's funny yesterday I asked him if I could go to my sister's house to watch a movie (she lives like 5 miles away)... I never thought I'd be asking someone else to visit family, but it just felt amazing...

My letters are coming together nicely! And I'm pretty sure that he is going to love them! Only 11 more days until Letter #1... I might post them after I give them to him. I am just so excited about them! I love doing something so special for the him. To show him how special he is to me!

it is differnet for sure... also I have Friday's off and he doesn't so every Friday when he gets home I've been suprising him with a project that I did... last week I painted an accent wall.... This Friday I'm doing another accent wall, cleaning our new-to-us stove, baking a cake, and hanging some pictures...
