My 14k white gold ring is supposedly rhodium plated, but looks like yellow or rose gold. Help?

Hi all!

My fiancé proposed last night! I custom designed the ring by myself, but last night was the first time I saw it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the diamond - it's exactly as perfect as I knew it would be. However, I'm having some concerns about the color of my band, and I'm hoping you guys can offer some clarity. My band is 14k white gold, but its color is VERY warm. (See pictures below.) My fiancé and all of my friends thought it was yellow gold. I assumed it hadn't been rhodium plated yet from some reason, but when I called the jeweler to ask if they did plating, they said they would be STUNNED if my ring had not been rhodium plated before my fiancé picked it up. Can you guys look at my ring and tell me if this is just what rhodium plated white gold looks like? I've never seen a white gold engagement ring that looked this warm.

Assuming it has been rhodium plated and I'm still wanting a cooler shade, is there anything I can do?

(I'm also going in on Monday to get the prongs reshaped. I was super specific about wanting claw-shaped prongs, but they gave me round ones.)

It sure doesn't seem to have been rhodium-plated; the gold looks even warmer than the never-plated white gold of my grandmother's pearl and diamond ring. But it's an easy fix if you don't care for it.

If you ring hasn’t been plated or not well enough, it’s an easy fix. However, you will need to replate annually as the Rhodium plating wears off. It’s about $50 or so and they don’t need to take the diamond out or anything.

Congratulations!
It doesn't look plated to me. Although, I did have a 14K white gold ring I had in the past that was a warmer than other rings I had. The ring was going to be a gemstone ring so it didn't bother me. I would inquire how much it would cost to change the ring to platinum (with ruthenium or iridium mix NOT cobalt) & go from there. It will be worry free wear apart from occasionally buffing it from time to time. The rhodium coating will brighten the ring considerably but then you'll have to pay to get this done often. It's an extra expense & I just go for platinum to avoid this.

The ring looks beautiful on your hand. :-)

It surely does not look as Rhodium plated ,but no harm done since rhodium plating id the last stage just before cleaning it by ultrasonic cleaner and steam.
It is a procedure of 15minutes, they might even do it for you on the spot.

Thanks everyone for your comments! I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing the warm color. My second question: My ring has a custom setting made from a mold, no changeable head. I asked for claw prongs and they gave me round. What are the chances they can build the prongs up and reshape them down into claw prongs without having to reset my entire ring? I want to cry when I think about them taking this ring for ANOTHER month to work on it, but the claw prongs were extremely important to me :(
