I think CL is an awesome place to buy diamonds if you know what you''re doing and check it out. You get incredible deals and I''m all over that! There are vested interests here in directing buyers to certain vendors so you have to kind of filter out that noise. It looks like a really nice diamond. I just sold a diamond ring on CL today for full price that I wanted vs. another board which produced nothing but a bunch of lowballers wanting 66 closeup pictures and an ironclad return policy. Screw that. Enjoy the diamond, it''s beautiful.

I got my pear, but now, I cannot think about NOT wearing it!! Lovelies like yours are made to be worn

I''ll admit, this experience has given me hope that tremendous diamond deals exist. I''ll be watching CL with a discerning eye for awhile to come.

Thanks so much Amethyste! I''ve seen your pear and it''s AMAZING! The more I look at my stone, the more I know I will never have any problem wearing in on a daily basis (unless I''m traveling, perhaps). My only concern is how to show it to others without seeming showy or like I''m rubbing it in their faces. I want to be really honest about where I found it, and inform them the SO and I got a tremendous deal. At the same time I don''t want them to think my diamond is bad because I got it on CL. I guess I can''t control that, and I just have to hope the quality of my diamond speaks for itself.
I''m going to check out settings next week. I''m thinking white gold with some J color sidestones.

I definitly wouldn''t have felt comfortable making this purchase without using all of the knowlege you''ve provided me over the last year of my lurkdom/membership. Also, if anyone''s got any ideas for settings I''d sure love to hear them.
