Beautiful, Marcy! Two very nice upgrades at once! I do love that color blue, too! Mine is a little darker and I hope I can get another sapphire eventually that is similar to the color of yours! LOVE the rabbit pictures, too!

Thank you Cellentani. I can't believe how sparkly that sapphire is - I just got back from the grocery store and they have great "sparkle" lights in there. All MP fans should have a killer rabbit. My husband and I are getting a lot of laughs out of that thing.

Thank you odbg. The sun is coming in behind the CD, I kept turning the CD to get the diamonds at a different angle. The CD was putting off big green and blue prism-like flashes which is the blue you are seeing.

Thank you motownmama. Here is a picture of what I traded in for this ring. The center stone in the old ring was .81 ct (5mm) and that ring had .9 ctw accent diamonds. The new ring cost quite a bit more but the sapphire was about $250.00 more. I bought the original ring about 7 years ago and it originally had an oval traditional blue sapphire in it. I traded that for the 5mm round sapphire about 3 years ago. ETA I really liked the ring I traded in so I am glad I am happy with my upgrade. Sometimes bigger isn't better.
